Toctino and Apremilast
Continuing on my previous Dermatologist Appointment Rant post. Like, even my family doctor had more novel suggestions than the freaking dermatologist...
Toctino (alitretinoin): a type of medicine called a retinoid. Retinoids are derivaties of vitamin A.
Apremilast: an investigative oral phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor.
I honestly haven't read much into this. They are probably small study trial runs that help with "eczema" with knarly side-effects. What scares me about a lot of medication is just how much we don't know about them.
But I think these things are worth reading more about and talking to your doctor about if you feel stuck like I do right now!
