Could I ask for the definition of todash?
To quote the Dark Tower Glossary:
Todash is the monster-filled void that exists between worlds. Thinnies are thin places where todash leaks through to our world.
{ To go todash is to travel through that void with the aid of magical portals (doors, orbs, the like), usually to get to a different world and/or time. }
In My experience, going todash is visiting the void itself -- I used to drop a lot of dextromethorphan, and some not-so-casual DXM users call that “voidwalking”, which is a stunningly apropos term. There are times when I’ve been completely beyond this reality, in what would most likely be termed a full-body hallucination, and had physically and mentally taxing yet intensely rewarding experiences that definitely continue to have bearing on both My imagination and My dreaming time now (as evidenced by the bullshit I’m currently dealing with).
Those were what I term My “visits to the Tower”. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a visit to the Tower that wasn’t so harrowing that it had physical and mental (and occasionally social) repercussions. So the implication of monstrousness in the term “todash” applies there as well.
