21 years ago...where were you? Dec. 17th 1988 Tuff headlined the “Whisky-A-Go-Go” At the time our draw was big enough, to do 2 shows in 1 night, with only 1 support band. That band, was the always awesome 4,3,2,1.., The Zeros. If my memory is correct, we got paid $3,000.00. This was our Full-Page BAM advertisement for the show... and yes, the Ornaments on the tree are the band member’s faces. How crazy! Where were you 32 years ago? I know where I was... Nov. 6th 1987, a full 32 years ago. Tuff played our very first show at the “Whisky-A-Go-Go” and were the headliner. We also got paid a handsome $500.00 guarantee. lol It was a Sold Out show and I have the live video to prove it, it also proves we sucked beyond belief. Ha. Fun Fact: The Promoter was Razzmatazz Productions, who was headed up by Janie Liszewski. Today she is better known as, Mrs. Eddie Van Halen. Crazy how time flies. I recently found our full-page BAM ad for this show. With our “Females Wanted...Now Hiring... Apply in Person” theme. I’m getting a kick out of our individual titles under our photos. #wtf My name was also misspelled as Stevie Rachell 🤪 Photos by: Gene Kirkland At the time, for a short while we were also managed by Johnni Teagarden, and our P.R. person was Del James.
