It was almost dawn when he saw the large, black truck barreling through his land. It seemed as though whoever was driving had been looking to take some sort of shortcut and got terribly lost, because there was no way they should ever have been anywhere near this lake. Naturally, while he was patrolling the area Jason had noticed the loud vehicle and was now approaching the road as quickly as he could. It was slowing down, he could tell because the engine was quieter now but it was still noisy and irritating. The driver stopped and started to look at a map, which is when Jason decided to step out from the line of trees.

Taking full advantage of the element of surprise, Jason used his strength to push the whole thing onto its side. Watching the driver scramble out, listening to his string of curse words and noticing his bright red, angry face - Jason grabbed the man by the throat and tossed him aside. The man hit a tree, and was impaled on a jutting branch. There were sounds of distress coming from the back of the truck, so Jason strode over and ripped the doors off. Looking inside, he found someone chained up. Jason raised his machete, thinking it was just another human who had to die for trespassing. Then he paused, because something didn’t feel right..

Sometimes, Lex wanted to do something new and different. A venture that would take his mind off things that caused him stress, a kind of business that was more fun rather than a constant game of chess. He’d like to make decisions that wouldn’t end up costing someone their life, or endanger his own. So he jumped at the chance to meet with an obscure musician, take a tour of his studio and hear why he should put money forward to help the guy out. 

Lex was quite willing to invest, he just needed to be sure that Todd was the real deal and not some garage junkie looking for his next hit in the nearest parking lot.

Turning people into vampires, every species had their own way of doing it. Spike was not new to this particular scene, sitting around in a graveyard waiting for someone to rise. It was always a horrible experience at first, because you had to use your bare hands to claw your way through the coffin and then six feet of dirt. It always left the fingernails and sometimes fingertips very bloodied and raw.

Spike started to fidget and look around in the darkness, he was becoming anxious because sometimes it didn’t work. It had been a couple of days already, now he was sat here for the third night in a row. So if Todd didn’t make an appearance before sunrise, he’d know the man was dead and never coming back.

Sometimes, the day to day repetition of life could become somewhat cumbersome after a while. Even with all the work he was doing lately, Julian craved something more interesting to happen. He’d love to examine something he’d never had the opportunity to see up close before, like a newly discovered species. Of course it’d end up autopsied by the end of the week but at least he would’ve had something different to do for a while. Monotony was what had drawn the artist out of his closeted lifestyle and into the dark, seedy underbelly of the streets. He was looking for something, or perhaps something would find him..

It had been raining so the roads and pavements were still wet as he walked without fear among those who might easily try to rob him, but Julian was confident and had an air of threat about him that kept these people second guessing their chances. He’d heard a rumor that there had been something captured and tortured by government authorities, but it had escaped somehow or was released and then discovered by criminals. It was supposedly still wounded and weak, it might even die but they were trying to sell it before this happened and the creature would lose its value.

Julian arrived at the warehouse, slipping among the gathered crowd to the front so he could see the thing on display. Slightly disappointed to see a very human-like figure caged on the platform, the artist sighed but waited to see what kind of proof they had that this was indeed something from another world.

It wasn’t easy moving around in such a big city when one was so small, his tiny legs could hardly carry him very far before he’d need to stop and rest again. The going was incredibly slow because he couldn’t let anyone notice him, so he had to keep hiding behind things he saw along the way. 

Finally, Gizmo found the place he was looking for. Something had drawn him to this building, he crept inside and found a cool, dark place under a desk to hide. When he was accidentally shoved by someone’s feet, he let out a little squeak of surprise and crept slowly out from under them. Gizmo looked up anxiously, he had no idea if this person would treat him kindly.

Debbie was tidying up in hers and Todd’s bedroom one fall day. Everything was all messed up, but it would be fixed up quickly.

She was putting away socks when she noticed something tucked into a corner of the drawer. Confused, she grabbed it. It contained pills and white powder.....drugs.

Debbie gasped, shocked and a little furious. Todd hadn’t been acting like himself lately, but he had said that everything was fine when she asked. But now she knew he lied. He had been taking drugs behind her back! How long had it been going on? Was he addicted?

Carrying the bags in her hand, she went to confront the spaceman.
