🐰Pin the Tail on the Bunnies🐰 * These bunnies are super cute and great for young children, really good for kids to practice, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and colour recognition. And they're so easy to make! 🙌 * 🐰What you need: 🌟Felt bunnies in assorted colours (got mine at the dollar store). 🌟Hot glue (optional). 🌟Velcro with adhesive (got mine at the dollar store). 🌟Large pom poms in assorted colours (found at the dollar store). * 🐰How to: 🌟Take your felt bunnies and match them up colour wise with the pom poms. 🌟Cut small pieces of velcro and stick one piece to the tail of the bunny, and the other piece to the pom pom. 🌟Even thou the velcro has adhesive, I still used a dot of hot glue to glue them on, so they wouldn't come off as kids play with them. 🌟That's it!! 🐰Decorating your Easter Activity Bags🐥 * 🐰#marthastuarts favour bag decoration 🎉🎉🎉. 🐰I did this to customize my sons birthday party loot bags, thought it was super cute, so, I wanted to do it again for my Easter activity bags. * 🌟What you need: 🐰medium brown paper favour bags. The bag sizes really depend on what you’re planning to fill them with. 🐰Easter themed stamp(s). 🐰Ink pad(s), whatever colour(s) you want. 🐥Easter Sensory Bin 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 * 🌟It's so much fun for kids and really gets them using all their senses. 🌟This Easter sensory bin is great for free play & developing imagination. 🌟All you need is colour rice (check my previous post on it), a few mini books (I try to incorporate books as much as I can), plastic Easter eggs and Easter animals. Kids will have a blast!!!! 🐥Plastic Easter eggs can be used to scoop rice and make Easter shakers . * 🐣Importance of Sensory Play & Cognitive Skills Development🐣 * 🐣Cognitive skills are those skills we use when we solve problems and create novel ideas from current ideas. The process of solving problems begins with observation; that is, taking note of the attributes of objects. Young children use all their senses to explore objects and they file it away in their memories. Also, when children have sensory experiences, they store their whole body experiences in their “sensory memory.” We use our sensory memory to begin the process of understanding and gaining knowledge. 🐣Early childhood educators cannot overstate the importance of sensory play in the educational process.
