So i just got my first ever high school schedule, and im a bit pissed off. For my freshman year, I applied for my electives in the 8th grade. I applied for Social Justice, and History of Classical Music. However when i got my scheduele, my electives were Digital Art and History of Electronic Music!! The staff will be in office in about a week, and Im gonna ask what happened, so wish me luck to get the electives i applied for or at least apply for something i would enjoy

As an upcoming high school freshman, and seeing that you are no longer in high school and have more knowledge than I, what laptop would you best recommend for a student like myself? I've been hesitant on any apple products (I don't even have an iPhone or an IPad), but if a Mac is one of the best choices I may reconsider my options. I need to use Word (which I despise I prefer Google Docs) and my teachers are big fans of Chrome. If you may bestow upon me your wisdom, I would greatly appreciate it

hi ! i hope your summer is going well, high school is tough but can also be amazing, its what you make it! 

for high school i used an hp laptop. which lasted me 3-4 years. the last year it was kind of awful to use but i managed aha. right now, i have a macbook air for college. if you’re looking for a laptop for just word/web capabilities, i would go for a simple hp or dell laptop. also, its hard to adjust to mac/apple products if you’ve never used any! 

even though i like my mac more than the hp, i think an hp is just fine for high school. i like playing some simple steam games and its going to be my main source of entertainment for college lol

just try to go for an i5 ot higher core, and 8gb of ram would make your web browsing and videos much faster. also macs are a lot more expensive.

ten goals for the next ten years

I would not really do something such as this, but the idea seems like a post I would make, so thank you @niftynotes for tagging me and giving me the chance to do this. Ten years, that would be my early twenties. I would want to:

be an orthodontist

pass my DAT

be comfortable in my physical appearance

have a roof over my head that I pay for

keep my friends (the ones I mentioned in my post, S.I.T.S)

have either a motorcycle or those cars with the moveable hood (gotta have some sort of non-serious goal)

respect everyone no matter what they look like, what their personality is, what they are

travel to a historical place with a large library, and just absorb every shelf

keep on moving

achieve my goals

why i enjoy rain

Just to clarify, no I am not in any way depressed or what people like to call “emo”. I have always wondered, why is it that I enjoy rather than just ignore or brush off? I’ve always been such a calm person, never hyper, just humorous and calm. However, when I see rain I get this adrenaline rush. My mom is not a fan of the rain, but that’s just because it’ll ruin her straight hair. I have naturally curly hair (and before you start assuming no it’s not like the afro hair you see on darker women. Just google ‘brazilian girl with curly hair’ and my hair is like a less poofy version but with the same intricate delicate curls), and so I don’t have any worries about my face and hair considering I hate heavy makeup on myself. Clothes aren’t a problem either since you won't find me wearing these expensive clothes when it clearly says seventy percent chance of rain on that day. Rain is soothing to me, and now being the month where I would begin to read my school summer novel, the sound of rain coming from my phone or the lucky days I hear it outside are the best time for me to read because I feel at ease and focused. I’m young, so I’ll probably get the “yeah she’s totally emo and she’s just being a baby about it so she won’t get hate.” Trust me when I say I am not that teenage attention seeker who tries to conform. I’ve also noticed that my sentences are pretty all over the place at times and hard to read, and I apologize for those having a difficult time with some out of context sentences sprinkled into posts of mine, but that’s how I typically write, and since I want my purest, unedited thoughts written here, I’ll keep it just the way it is.

A little bit about me

This is not the type of stuff I would be saying this early considering my lovely abyss of followers. However, I felt that since it’s just me versus the entire internet at the moment, I think it’ll be okay to tell you a little bit about myself. 

- My name is obvious if you do a little looking at my account

- I am currently on summer break, heading to my freshman year on September

- I enjoy listening to music, chill/indie playlists along with Korean indie being preferred among others

- I try to not curse often. Nothing to do with religion or anything like that, I just feel a dirty mouth makes me a dirty person inside and out

- I really enjoy school. I will be taking an Algebra 2 class along with Geometry for my freshman year, and I am excited to get back on track with waking up early to pursue a great future

- Careers aspirations always change, but as of now, I want to be an orthodontist. Being a person who had to get a tooth surgically removed because it was chilling on my upper gums, I since then had a desire to abet others to have a nice set of teeth.

- I am currently playing volleyball for my small town. I am the youngest on my team, the only 8th-soon-to-be-9th grader out of all the juniors and seniors.

- I am Brazilian and American, mixed with a little Spanish culture from my bio father (who I wouldn’t mind yelling at)

- I have an older sibling and a younger sibling along with a dog

- I will not say anything else about my siblings, but my dog is named Elvis, and he’s a Coton de Tulear and Shih Tzu mix

- I have curly hair. Don’t picture an afro, think of that curls of an afro, and bring those strands down, as you would with straight hair. I love my hair to death, despite all the troubles of washing it every two days and all the various products to keep my hair normal looking

- I am happy with my hourglass body, and I try to maintain my body by eating healthy, but still having room to eat sweets like the young one I am.

- I am subscribed to some gamers, such as Markiplier, GTLive, and that’s it. I only ever played two games, one being the Sims 4, the other is diep.io for the days I need to chill a little while having to entertain myself.
