why i enjoy rain
Just to clarify, no I am not in any way depressed or what people like to call “emo”. I have always wondered, why is it that I enjoy rather than just ignore or brush off? I’ve always been such a calm person, never hyper, just humorous and calm. However, when I see rain I get this adrenaline rush. My mom is not a fan of the rain, but that’s just because it’ll ruin her straight hair. I have naturally curly hair (and before you start assuming no it’s not like the afro hair you see on darker women. Just google ‘brazilian girl with curly hair’ and my hair is like a less poofy version but with the same intricate delicate curls), and so I don’t have any worries about my face and hair considering I hate heavy makeup on myself. Clothes aren’t a problem either since you won't find me wearing these expensive clothes when it clearly says seventy percent chance of rain on that day. Rain is soothing to me, and now being the month where I would begin to read my school summer novel, the sound of rain coming from my phone or the lucky days I hear it outside are the best time for me to read because I feel at ease and focused. I’m young, so I’ll probably get the “yeah she’s totally emo and she’s just being a baby about it so she won’t get hate.” Trust me when I say I am not that teenage attention seeker who tries to conform. I’ve also noticed that my sentences are pretty all over the place at times and hard to read, and I apologize for those having a difficult time with some out of context sentences sprinkled into posts of mine, but that’s how I typically write, and since I want my purest, unedited thoughts written here, I’ll keep it just the way it is.
how my summers tend to go
As of September, it will be my first year in high school. I am a bit ecstatic to become a freshman, but I am also worrisome. I chose to take a morning class so that I can prepare for my day earlier than others, while also having an advantage in mathematics compared to my peers. I completed both summer packets (one for my required geometry class and my morning Algebra two class) in mid-July.
I remember telling myself that I need to change this summer. I need to make a routine and focus on my studies. Last night, I was up thinking about what I have achieved in the past month, and I felt like a did not accomplish anything for my future. I then slept for 4 hours and woke up at 5 am, the same thought being the first thing to reach my mind when I opened my eyes. Now having a much longer time to ponder, I realized that I did accomplish something. I discovered what I want to do to contribute a short life like mine to this planet. I discovered my personality and worked hard to adjust any flaws that I did not like. I improved my well being mentally and physically. I rejoined this blog again and found an admiration for indie music along with pre-made playlists created by YouTubers. Not everyone can have the well planned, educational, adventure packed summer they hope to have. I stay at home often and this is the best summer I’ve ever had. There is also a very special family event that is going to occur this September, and while I won’t dive into personal details, I can say that we will be reuniting with a young family member. To my abyss, do not fret on having the dream summer; just enjoy the rare future, and remember the precious past.
Does it count?
If I were to do my homework, would that count as my day’s productivity for the hundred days of productivity, since I stay up until 9 doing homework alone?
Been a While.
There could be nobody who sees this now. But hey. I found this little box of the internet in the corner of my mind, and I might give this a shot again.
Here we go.
Well, here I am. I am not much of a social media type of girl. I am an honors student, going to high school next year. Hopefully this can be my safe zone. I won’t post much, so don’t expect a lot of me. I probably won’t even use tags much, so finding me is going to be a real journey. There isn’t much to say about me now, because I always improve my life now to get to the future I wish to have. A simple, organized life. I want to be a journalist major in college, so I’m doing as much as I can to get there. That’s all to say about me. Good luck finding me, and try not to get your hopes up with this blog.
