Hi all you Friends For Equality! So far we raised $368.92 for ACLU Nationwide, Planned Parenthood, and Southern Poverty Law Center since volume 1 of the music compilation was released back in November! I made payments of $71.74 each back in December, $33.23 each in January, and $18 each today!  We are now gearing up to organize volume 2 of the music compilation and are taking submissions of previously unreleased songs. We would love to hear from folks we haven’t heard from yet and would love this one to be even more diverse than the last one. Please send your unreleased song submissions to [email protected] and please spread the word!!! Thanks and <3 to all of you who contributed to volume 1 and supported our cause by purchasing it. We hope volume 2 will be just as beautiful and raise even more money that the first one. I am also taking art and writing submissions for issue 2 of the zine. Zine 1 was sold at the benefit show to raise money for SisterSong and Forward Together, and I am selling it now at various other events to support other great causes like the Standing Rock Indian Reservation on March 25th in the afternoon at Strange Matter. Please send submissions for issue 2 to [email protected], and again, please spread the word!!!  Art and writing submissions do not need to be unreleased. Deadline for now for both is April 30th. Calling all artists and writers!

I am organizing a live benefit show at Strange Matter in Richmond, as well as a zine. The show is February 17th and proceeds from the show and zine will go to Forward Together and SisterSong. So far we have Feral Conservatives, The Talkies, Among The Rocks And Roots/The New Loft, and RAIC on board for the show! We are still hoping to get Toxic Moxie and Fetish Gear on board as well.

The theme of the zine is social justice/civil rights and submissions can be literal or abstract, general or specific. I would LOVE if you or anyone you know would consider donating something for the zine. We are looking for poems, editorials, creative writing, drawings, photography- anything 2D. It will be black and white and we hope to receive writings in Word and pictures 300 dpi and jpeg, but we can work around that if that is not possible for you.

The deadline is January 2nd, and please email submissions to [email protected]

Please consider contributing and spreading the word by sharing and reposting this!! if you know anyone else who would be interested, please, please send them my way! I am happy to answer any question you may have in regards to the show or zine as well.
