TOGOR GOT TO SEE HIS WIFE AGAIN!!!

The dice were truly telling the story tonight. DM told me it was a DC 25 to recognize my wife while we were in these masks that completely obscured our personas and because I have a +9 to perception, I got a 27. So I saw her and the fucking vermin that is set to politically marry her. And then I ended up rolling to see who I was sitting next to at this anonymous ball and fuck I was sat right next to her.

She immediately started trying to talk down to me and was like “you’re probably some noble twat” and I’m like uh I’m a pool boy? And ahhhhh it was so great to sit next to her and chat and tell her I love her again. She’s like “oh don’t risk your life for me” and I’m like “there’s no life to risk if you aren’t in it. You’re the only life I have” we are such fucking saps for each other

Shoutout to Matt for the emotion of it all. When we rolled for fun at the beginning of tonight’s session, I got a nat 1 and so later when he told me I recognized Galewyn in the hall I straight up threw myself onto our playing table and groaned in pain.

The amount of times I was waffling between what I wanted to do as a player and what Togor would do was so high. I truly felt the self righteous FURY he was feeling at seeing another man put their hand on my wife’s back. But yeah we talked to this powerful bronze dragon and I was letting my party member speak to get the info they wanted until finally I had to blurt out “why the fuck is Drav’lan Silvershield here?!” I could feel the steam coming off Togor. And then I had to decide if I wanted to know more about where my entire hometown disappeared to or if I wanted to know more about my wife. And somehow, Matt granted me both.

So Togor’s family and entire hometown was taken away and is now being experimented on. And Galewyn is ready to prepare an army to find and protect me in the case that she does have to go through with this political marriage.

Fuck. I love this so much! I am having so much fun!!!

Togor watching his entire hometown get disintegrated, using his second wind for the first time ever just to book it 120feet to safety then promptly getting banished to the same realm he went to when he died. And his first thought is “I’m completely alone. I wish my wife were here.”

I love this fucking character and how at his absolutely lowest, his first and final thought is of the love of his life and knowing she’d support him during this.

I need to write about all of Togor’s exploits but my brain is mush cuz period time

Whatever, I’m gonna build another character for this world. Not because I think Togor is gonna perma-die but because I can’t get the idea of playing either the estranged brother/sister or the handmaiden of Galewyn (Togor’s wife). Both of them never knowing where she ran off to when she ran away from home. Maybe working with the DM to get a clue as to why she ran away in the first place. Meet up with the gang because they heard the news and saw the wanted posters of Togor and they came to find him to get some answers. I think the handmaiden would want to get her back because they were actually very close and Galewyn would be more like her daughter than she ever was to her actual mother. And if I’m the brother/sister, I’d be younger than galewyn and like upset that she went missing leaving the lineage of the throne to me. Thinking like a Paladin or smthng for the handmaiden. And a bard/idk fighter or smthng for the sibling (because of course they were living the easy life and was just gonna become a musician until they had to take up all the royal duties that once were Galewyn’s responsibility)

If I had a nickel for every time Togor would be perma-dead if not for uncanny dodge, I’d have two whole nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but fuck is it stressful to have already happened twice within three session of gaining that ability

We did a bunch of lollygagging this session but man when we got to the meat we got to the MEAT. I think all our characters got what we needed out of it. Togor definitely did.

I’ve been thinking of multiclassing. Fighter, barabarian, ranger type beat. And tonight’s session, with yet another motivational speech from the DM about Togor, really got me itching to level up. I actually can’t do barbarian because I am not strong enough. And I thought ranger would be more what I go for but I’m really liking fighter.

So I think when we get to that sweet level 6, I’m gonna take on a fighter level. Probably say that Togor gets training from both Alma and Merrin.

He’s got to find his wife. He’s got to figure out where the entire population of his hometown is. He’s got to believe in himself 😤

My favorite part of giving my character a surfer voice accent is when we’re having a super tense/serious moment and Togor is being 1000% sincere but just sounds like a goddamned idiot making ocean metaphors

Finally at the part of role-playing where my d&d character feels separate from me and I love it

There’s so many moments where I as a player know what the fuck is happening/being implied but lil baby Togor is just an idiot and doesn’t pick up on it. Sweet baby, how did you not realize that this man over this part of the resistance is your boss’s boss? How would he not know Ms. Bloomingwish, you little summer child? You hung out with him for two whole days and never thought to ask because you were so star struck??? He asked you to join him and you said no cuz you’re already a part of a local resistance? You idiot. You absolute buffoon.
