Summary:

FOR THE THE OLD GUARD REVERSE BANG 2022! Decades after meeting him for the first time, Nile’s still unsure about how she feels about Booker. It’s not like she hasn't noticed the way he looks at her, but … there’s just so many buts. Then, in one awful moment, they’re torn apart. And Nile swears that she’ll do whatever it takes to get him back, even if it takes her years and years — even if it means having to cross the vast gulf between the stars — one day at a time.

TOG Reverse Big Bang Fic #2: And My Heart Has So Much to Reveal

And here’s the second fic I wrote for the TOG Reverse Bang 2022! It can be found here, and was inspired by the fantastic @highbeeans​‘s art prompt (found here).

Summary:

Joe Kaisani is many things: an environmental engineer, a hobby artist, a father, an alpha - and newly single, still healing from a painful past.

Nicky Genovese is many things: a corporate liaison, an Italian Twitter drama addict, a dog owner, an omega, and picky about who he dates.

An encounter at a local dog park brings Joe and his toddler son in contact with Nicky and his overenthusiastic Shiba Inu, sparking a connection that’s unexpected, yet welcome. But when a part of Joe’s life that he thought he’d left behind comes back to haunt him, his loved ones and his new flame help him face his challenges head-on.

Written for the TOG Reverse Bang 2022, with art by Beans and story by seashadows. Thank you so much to @adukeofspook​ for beta-reading!

Rated E; contains non-traditional alpha/beta/omega dynamics with Nicky as the more forward, experienced, and take-charge partner. Medical nerdery is ahead, if you’re into that.

The story also contains descriptions of past abuse in later chapters, but there is no violence against any living thing.
