I usually keep winter skin under control but my hands these weeks are painfully rough. I think some extra stress isn't really healing my body to properly heal. I've been relying on some extra TLC from my loved Rocky Mountain Oils. It's my first experience with their new skin and body care line, Tohi (which also includes supplements), and I'm really excited to share my impressions!
Some background information first: this natural, premium body care line combines essential oils, clinically proven ingredients, and botanical extracts for targeted skin care solutions. They are intended to be seen and felt immediately - and they deliver. Let's start with the Night’s Rest Hand + Body Cream. With aloe vera, a combination of high quality oils and butters and vitamin E, this thick but glidy lotion feels heavenly on dry, cracked skin patches. The relief is, indeed, immediate; you can easily see and touch the improvements. In healthy skin it works wonders too, making it more supple and softer.
But of course, the stars from RMO are their essential oils. This cream features their counting sheep blend, which through its aromatherapeutic combination of sandalwood, patchouli, lavender and ylang ylang promotes a good night's rest. Of course, this is non-habit forming unlike pills, and it boost relaxation through a soothing ritual. I also got an unscented sample (Nature’s Moisture) with no essential oils though, which is a good option for those who want to make their own custom blend, or for people with certain sensitivities.
This ritual factor is also present in their Sacred Skin Facial Moisturizer thanks to its rich sacred frankincense oil. It smells warm, rich, woody and peppery. I know that last one sounds weird, but trust me, it's wonderful. I use this cream as my daytime moisturizer. It has a similar, thick texture like that of the body cream, but different too in that it has to be worked on the skin to warm it up. Its ingredients are luxurious and it shows. The combination of botanically sourced lipids, PhytoCellTec, jojoba leaves water extract and probiotic technology work together to deliver amazing results. From the fact that this cream instantly brightens and replenishes my skin, to the progressive softening and restoring, Sacred Skin has become one of my top three skin products ever. I believe it is fantastic for those looking for a glass skin look, as the dewy finish makes you picture perfect without any make up at all.
I honestly cannot recommend Rocky Mountain Oils Tohi line enough. Both Sacred Skin and Night's Rest are effective products with quality ingredients without nasties like parabens, but Sacred Skin in particular is truly a game changer. The essential oils top the experience, making skincare more than skincare: a self-care ritual, an inside-out beauty experience, a moment to connect with yourself.
