The Collector wasn’t angry at Belos for their betrayal.
I mean, he literally says so! “I’m not angry though.”
And immediately after that, when he splatters Belos, he was actually trying to play with him. The Collector wasn’t trying to kill Belos, because they don’t understand what that even means.
I feel like a lot of us, me included, somehow keep forgetting that The Collector spent 400 years with Belos. With literally no-one else to talk to. With Belos.
And they still weren’t angry at him. They still just wanted to play. They still just thought that a little “kindness and forgiveness” would fix things, because they probably still think of Belos as their “friend”, and then all of their friends could play together!
God, it’s just. Belos literally tricked and lied to them for 400 YEARS, threw them off a bridge, and The Collector still wasn’t angry. The Collector was completely fine with forgiving and forgetting.
I feel like I was going somewhere with this but now I’m just incredibly sad
belos simps be like:
Something i've seen and really loved is the idea of the Collector getting a palisman.
In a practical sense, he doesn't need it. He can fly by himself, doesn't even use spell circles, he doesn't need it.
But he's also immortal. He will live long after Luz and Eda and even King are dead. He'll still be there, alone.
So i think he deserves a companion. Someone who will always stay by their side, someone completely loyal, who won't ever leave.
“Maybe he’s just some normal guy, you know?”
very cool that the 2 characters mainly abused by belos have noun names (”collector” and “hunter”)
I'm watching TOH with my mom rn and the moment, the exact moment, she saw Hunter in "Hunting Palismen", she went "I knew it! He's the guy from 1600!"
I was obviously confused but after a moment I realized that. She thought Hunter was Philip Wittebane. She realized she was wrong based on my reaction, but.
Holy shit. What. My mom did not just make the connection between Hunter and Philip Wittebane 1 second after seeing Hunter's face. Wtf mom??
