Neighbours
toikawas & silversetter
Suga's train arrived at the station, practice had been difficult. Everything about this year seemed harder than it should be. He didn't mind too much that the other setter was better than him, but he couldn't help the fact that he felt extremely useless most of the time. What did he contribute to the team? Probably nothing anymore. He knew a few things and passed them on to Kageyama. But that was about it.
He looked down at his watch, in roughly five minutes Tooru's train should also be arriving at the station. Then the two of them could walk home together just as they normally did. Hopefully there would be no delays...
The two boys had decided to go to different schools, because for one. They were basically an even distance away from their nearest station. And two, they didn't want to compete for setter on the same team, especially when it was clear that Oikawa was the preferred choice.
Five minutes felt like such a long time to wait, especially when you were feeling a little down. Practice match at their own school, Sugawara didn't get to play. Was there any point in talking to his friend about these things? Especially when he was quite jealous of Tooru, the perfect friend. Even if that perfection was only skin deep on some days.
The train will now be arriving on platform two.
It was another shopping day for him. He made sure to go on a day that no one would really be around, a Thursday night. After doing some odd jobs he'd gotten enough money for a new outfit, Hinata couldn't help but want to add to his growing wardrobe. So here he was glancing through the racks as he tried to find a dress that was more casual. Most of his were really pretty dresses with chiffon, frills and ribbons. So something to mix it up would be nice to try for himself.
His eyes landed on a particularly bright dress, it was a sort of red-orange with white polka dots. Before he'd only gone for softer colors so he combed through the rack for a size small and held it up with a smile on his face not noticing that someone was watching him, "This one's perfect."

yeah he’s p great, it’s the truth. and omg, it’s fine! i take literally forever with my starters, so i understand completely.
Yeah. He's not half bad. I actually tho, with the starter wasn't sure where to start it? I also imagine they still go to their own schools?

the siren call of oikawa is pretty hard to resist tbh.
yes it is. like. so damn attractive and that personality. so selfcest. also sorry I was at a total loss with that starter last night.
"Wow Oikawa-san! I didn't know you liked me so much."

wheezes happily, best idea ever and i am literally 1000% in.
TOTALLY IS. and then like, Oikawa brings it up in real life, and he's like. "Did you see this?" Suga shakes his head. And Oikawa is like. "Well, if I answered this, and my friend asked it I'd probably tell them something similar... maybe with a bit more feeling, break the professional boundary.." But this is maybe a month after the question was answered?
