Toiling Midgets were founded 1979 in San Francisco USA, the first album "Sea Of Unrest" with Flipper-singer Ricky Williams (who died in 1992) was released 1982 on Rough Trade Records. After the instrumental "Dead Beats" EP (Thermidor 1985) Matador Records released the second Toiling Midgets album "Son" 1992 with American Music Club-singer Mark Eitzel on vocals. As part of the 2019 European tour for the third Toiling Midgets album "Sea Of Tranquility" (Green Monkey Records 20. 9. 2019) Craig Gray, Paul Hood, Simon Bell and Daniel Benjamin recorded the Antikörper Session at the Tin Roof Studio in Stuttgart in July 2019. Shortly afterwards, Simon Bell left the Toiling Midgets and was replaced by Kevin Kuhn (Die Nerven, Wolf Mountains, Karies) on bass.
