Here we are, Chapter 5 of my Tokka compilation thingy... I literally cannot believe I’m already on Chapter 5 but STILL can’t get my ass up and make myself go to the store. I’m a lazy adult. This one is spicyyyyyy... but also not. Short and sweet.
Setting: Fire Nation, the Palace, 2 years after Chapter 4.
Toph 22, Sokka 27.
The Fire Nation seemed to hold their secrets. It was a mutual ground between Earth and Water that protected them from the outside, kept their secrets safe, and what they did amongst one of those well-kept secrets.
They fell to their backs in a satisfied heap. Toph roll off of Sokka from where she straddled his hips with the last bit of energy she had left. Her head buzzed and pulsed with each breath.
Both panting in wordless agreement of their shared satisfaction. Sokka breathed heavily then smiled, chest heaving as he ran both hands up through the front of his hair.
A goofy smile plagued both of their lips, pure bliss coursed through their veins and flooded their brains, overloading every last nerve with pleasure. Anything said within this time was merely a by-product of the engulfing sensations wracking their bodies.
This too was a cause for their silence.
Sokka lay on the right side of the bed with Top to his left, the covers had been kicked or thrown or had met some other form of unceremonious demise on the floor.
His balcony door was open, the deep red curtains fluttered inward, tickled by the sweet night air. It cooled their bodies, acting as a different kind of cover as it settled over the sheen of sweat covering them both.
Toph moved the hair out of her face entirely, and met her left hand over Sokka's right which he had comfortably rested on her belly. He released a very content sigh, his other hand resting on his chest.
His smile never faded, even now as he looked up at the ceiling.
"How are you feeling?" Sokka asked, voice barely above a whisper.
Toph drew out her answer, as though she let every syllable of his question hit her individually and distinctly.
With a weak laugh, she said "I'm completely numb."
Her index finger danced on top of Sokka's hand, still braced on her stomach.
"Good." He turned only slightly to gage her face, the silly smile playing at her lips told him that she was as happy as he was.
She glistened in the moonlight, her bare breasts rose and fell as her breathing steadied itself. His brain was still in a frenzy, the air was thick, even with the breeze, and he was cloaked in her. Wrapped in her scent, her touch, her lips, her hair. The imprint she left on him felt like she had earth bent him into the side of a damn mountain; it all slammed into him. A jolt of sensation shot through him as his body remembered a glimpse of her embrace, of what they had just done.
He craved more but could not move; his arms were lead, his legs paralyzed on the bed. Move and he may collapse.
Toph's body was the same boneless, immobile slag of rocks. The only adequately moving part of her was her heart as it recovered from the past few hours.
There would be soreness, and there would be an ache, but she would not feel it; not now, not for a few more hours.
Sokka skated his fingertips up and down along her stomach, taking time to dip and trace along her navel, tickling her.
Toph stiffened and released a shaky gasp, too weak to laugh.
"We should do this more often." She breathed, it made Sokka's eyes widen a bit and his eyebrows raise.
He nodded with a gulp, "We should."
He found Toph's hand as she wove it through her still-damp hair. Entwining their fingers he brought the back of her hand to his lips, leaving a lingered kiss on her skin.
"…. I miss you." She closed her eyes.
Sokka squeezed her hand, his chest tightening at her words. He looked off past the ceiling and into his own thoughts. He pressed his lips back to her hand, keeping it there while he thought.
He whispered against her skin. "I miss you too."

Chapter 4 of Tokka indulgance, wow, is this what consistency feels like? Oh boy. This chapter is a follow up to the third chapter and is not as... focusses more on being a bit silly and slightly spicy instead of sweet and telling.
Why? *shrugs*

Setting: Still in the South Pole. Later that same night.
Toph had experienced the cold of the South Pole before, a few years ago actually, but she didn’t remember it being THIS cold.
The liquid fire she kept taking swigs from the skin she took from Sokka made her fingers tingle and did a decent job of warming her.
She wasn’t drunk by any means, being drunk would make her more dizzy and nauseous from the blurring of her sight. However, there was a pleasant sensation that she could tell was the alcohol doing its work. Regardless of the inner warmth, a frigid Southern cold burst its way through the hut when Sokka entered.
He had taken a walk around the perimeter of the newly developed South Pole with an old friend as the tribe wound down for the night. She was invited to go with him but she declined, content with staying where the warmth was. Sokka reluctantly left her, mostly because he did not want her to feel as though he was leaving her behind while he was home.
“Just go have fun with your friend, I'll survive until you come back,” Toph said, saluting him with the skin as one would before drinking with a friend. He chuckled and left the hut mumbling an “oh boy.”
“Hello there,” Sokka greeted as he kicked off his boots then went to his tunic, pulling it with some difficulty off over his head.
Toph lowered the pouch from her lips as she took another swig “Have fun?”
Sokka hung up the tunic as he spoke in his regular, ginger tone. “ I did.”
He stopped and stood adjacent to her, hands resting on his hips as he took in the sight of a slightly tipsy Top wrapped in the blankets meant for her and Sokka’s pallet. He folding his arms, the corner of his mouth turning upwards.
“You seem like you’re having a good time on your own.”
Toph reclines back on the pillows, nodding her head slowly “The very best.”
“Mhm.” Sokka hummed in agreement as he moved around past her, pulling his pallet next to hers to make one large, makeshift bed.
He noticed the pillows were behind her back as well and swiped the extra two from a shelf against the far wall.
Plopping them next to Toph, he swiped the drinking pouch from her just as she raised it to her lips once more.
“Heyyyy,” she complained, making a face as Sokka still watched her as he stood, taking a long drink. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and knelt down to the pelts, letting out an exaggerated sigh as he stretched out next to her.
Toph reached out, indicating that she wanted Sokka to hand back the pouch. He put up a finger and took yet another long swig. She turned slightly toward him, disgruntled.
“Are you done?” She asked as he finally lowered the pouch, handing it back to her. She shook the pouch as she protested. “ Jeez, did you have to drink half-“
Sokka quickly rolled to his side, cupping her jaw and both turning her face towards him while opening her mouth. She thought he was kissing her until she felt alcohol fill her mouth. She let it slip down her throat as Sokka deposited the rest of what he had swigged from the pouch.
Tophs eye grew wide as she pushed Sokka away. He lent back on his elbow, watching her cough and laugh simultaneously.
Sokka ran his fingers through his hair and let it down from its wolf tail, a grin on his face as he watched Toph.
“Yes, I was done.”
Toph shot him a look and flicked his forehead hard. Chuckling maniacally as Sokka fell back dramatically, yelping in surprise.
He laid his head down on the pillows underneath him with a sigh, keeping his hand over his eyes. Toph saw an opportunity, taking yet another swig from the pouch but swallowing it.
She leaned down over him, kissing him hard and with unmistakable intent. Sokka follows her lips as she withdrew, humming into her mouth as she did so.
“I’m not done.” Leaving him with a peck. Sokka smiled, waiting for her again. She raised the pouch to her lips again but this time not swallowing the burning liquid.
He was anticipating her retaliation, meeting her with parted lips. Sokka welcomed the liquid fire, swallowing it readily until there was none left. He savored the bitter taste, sucking on her plump bottom lip before releasing it with a bite.
Sokka almost growled into her as he raised himself upon his arm, still cradling Toph’s head, fingers entwining themselves through her long thick hair. He was careful to not tug too hard, checking his strength that could have easily been too much for her.
Toph’s head spun from the contents of the pouch, having drank a suitable amount. She hesitated at his fast movement, taking a moment to mentally catch up. Sokka sensed her hesitation and pulled away far enough to look at her pale face. The rosiness of her cheeks put a beautiful life to her paled eyes that he would only otherwise see when she was training.
“Are you alright? Do you want to just sleep? How much have you had to drink?” Concern painted his near whispering voice.
“Too fast, I’m at the delightful dizzy phase,” Sokka squinted as he hyper-focused. He could detect the slight sway of her body, she was slightly off her center of gravity nor could she find it. She was absolutely tipsy.
“I can see that.” He was careful to unwind his fingers from her hair and instead laid them to simply cradle her but he nap of her neck, giving her some sense of stability.
The fire that was ignited in him moments away dwindled down as he pushed those thoughts away in light of his partners.. er… his… his… bedfellow’s state.
“Let’s get ready for bed, then. I need you up and ready for tomorrow morning, we have some meetings to attend with my dad.”
Cheif Hakoda had arrived earlier that day, it had been a while since Sokka had seen him and they spent a good part of dinner talking amongst themselves, catching up.
Toph formed a protest as Sokka slipped out from their combined pallet and blew out candles around the hut.
When he returned her pulled the blankets off of Toph’s shoulders, and laid them over her as she settles down onto the pillows that were both hers and hijacked from Sokka.
As he too settled down beside her, on his side to face her, he twirled a lock of her hair around his finger as he tended to mindlessly do when they were in private together.
His eyes adjusted to the dark and he gazed at her profile, the slope of her forehead, flowing down the bridge of her nose as it rounded off at the tip. A cute nose. Although, her face was now a combination of cute and beautiful as it matured, the babyface melting away day by day.
His bedroom-blue eyes watched as Toph’s jaw flexed, opening and closing, her lips pursing slightly as she searched for words.
Her brows slightly crinkled closer together in thought, not that the thought was difficult but properly nuanced words were difficult to find.
He waited, leaning up onto an elbow again and slightly towards her face, still twirling her hair.
“I wasn’t done.” She said, matter- of- factly. Getting her words out before turning her chin towards him.
Sokka’s eyebrow quirked upwards, intrigued by them.
“oh?” He scanned her face, amusement painted his own, however, he did not push. “I think you should get some sleep and we can check that in the morning when this burns off. What do you think?”
The index finger that has her hair twirled around it in a ringlet released the strands and moved to glide up and down the length of her nose to between her eyebrows.
“mm….. I’d prefer to have you now AND in the morning. How’s that sound?” She had a sarcastic tone, throwing his pleasantry back at him, light-heartedly.
He took a deep breath, knowing this would have to wait until the morning.
Sokka kissed her lips so delicately it was as though he were afraid of hurting her with the slightest over the exercise of pressure; as though she were delicate in his hands.
“The morning it is.” He brushed his lips against hers, moving his head from side to side slowly.
He felt her pout, but she relented.
“You’re no fun.” She grumbled like a spoiled child being told ‘no’.
“I am plenty fun, I just want you to be clear-headed while I’m between your legs is all. A curtesy, really.”
He heard Toph take a sharp, shallow breathe. She liked that idea and she knew the practicality of Sokka not wanting to touch her while she was tipsy on his drink.
“Morning.” She confirmed.
Sokka pulled her into him, baring his arm across her waist and leaning his cheek against the crown of her hair.
He bent the arm under him against the pillows to rest on his elbow. He realized then that Toph was not wearing her bindings under her sleep clothes as the thumb of his hand around her waist brushed the underside of her breast.
The only thing I’ve been consistent on in the past... well, at since 2017. Isn’t that sad? Here is Chapter 3 of my Tokka fic “Within These Walls”.
In the wake of my own crumbling relationship of 3+ years, I have hope that somewhere in the atla-verse (lol like a pocket universe we spoke into existence) at least some people are happy somehow.
I would really appreciate feed-back on my writing. Thank you all!
Enjoy,

Part 1 Part 2
There wasn't anything out there as far as she could see. The wind was so loud in her sensitive ears it was deafening. She wasn't used to the cold, growing up in Ba Sing Se it was warm all year round. Her nose was numb with frost and the hair in her face was caked in snow. The thick fur around her hood muffled the whip of the arctic wind but did very little to clear the air. It was impossible to hear her travel partner, and currently, the man that was her eyes.
She knew they were in the village just outside of where they landed on Appa when many pairs of hands touched her shoulders and when she politely recoiled, a familiar arm encircled around her back.
"It's nice to see you too." His deep voice perked her ears up, attentively. "Where's Gran-Gran?" He excused themselves from the moderately sized crowd. The frozen girl heard her name passing numerous lips.
"That's Toph Beifong" – "Toph Beifong in our village." – "She must really be blind here." The comment made her set a hard brow, it wasn't malicious, but it was a weakness.
They were guided into a hut, the wind was silenced and warmth finally reached her frostbitten cheeks and nose. Even on rugs, the shoes she wore still muffled her vision like a heavy blindfold.
"Gran-Gran!" Sokka let go of his partner to rush towards his grandmother.
"Sokka, it's so nice to see you. My, you've grown." The old woman's voice was a new one to be stored in the blind-girls memory. That's how she knew everyone, she never forgot a voice. Sokka looked around the small hut of ice and blankets.
"Where's Master Paku?" He inquired.
"Oh, he had to go back to the Northern tribe and take care of a few things. You just missed him by 2 days." Before Sokka could say anything, Gran-gran asked, still in a merry tone. "How's Katara?"
"She's great! You'd be so proud to see her. She's a master, AND is working very closely with Aang." Sokka said in an excited tone, even though the siblings fought, they were still very proud of each other.
"That's my granddaughter." She said with a laugh. There was a pause and Toph stood where ever she was, still and tranquil with a hint of uncertainty.
"Gran-Gran, I'd like you to meet our very close friend- Toph Beifong, the best earth bender of all time." He gestured towards her, still one hand in his grandmothers'. The old woman approached her.
"Ah yes, I've heard so much about you. The fearless girl who can see with her feet." Toph smiled and extended a hand, she could hear the muffled sound of boots on the furs underfoot but couldn't distinguish much else. A rough warm hand closed around her mitten covered one.
"You invented a new form of bending, yes?" Toph was taller than Gran-Gran but not by all that much, she was still behind on a growth spurt.
"Metal bending, was it? Very smart." She clasped another hand over Toph's upper arm. "And very strong too." She turned back to her grandson. "Don't be a smart mouth with this one Sokka or you'll be through the roof." She said with a serious set face. Sokka rubbed the back of his neck and rolled his shoulders in the spotlight.
"Oh believe me Gran-Gran, I know." He nodded.
"It's so nice to finally meet you- uh, Mrs. Sokka's Grandma." She made an unsure laugh.
"AH HA" Gran-Gran chuckled wonderfully and warmly. "Just call me Gran-Gran." She smiled, even though Toph couldn't see it. Even with her red cheeks, the girl looked dangerously pale, almost ill.
"You two must be exhausted. I'll send some food. There are two pelts for each of you and I set out more blankets on the small table over there." She gave the direction really to Sokka but spoke facing Toph.
"Pleasure meeting you." Toph bowed respectively as Gran- Gran let go of her and went back to Sokka. Kissing his cheek and walking back out into the cold.
Unsure how to take off any of the heavy clothing, Toph was completely reliant on Sokka to take care of her. She was just a helpless little blind girl all over again.
They were alone and without the watchful eyes of the village, Sokka took the liberty of undressing her and began helping Toph out of her freezing clothes.
Taking his gloves off first and stuffing them in his pockets, he pulled her hood down ad untied the scar. He unraveled it with care and let the soaked scarf hit the rug. Occasionally his fingers brushed her cheek with undenounced purpose.
"Hands up." He had a smile with a light-hearted laugh.
Toph sniffed and raised her arms up, allowing him to pull the thick long coat over her head. She didn't feel odd about having the young man undress her. Beforehand, she had dressed her in traditional water tribe garb. Some of the clothes actually belonged to Katara: a blue shirt that V necked: pair of sweatpants over tight leggings: and boots he had to make her. He spend months finding just the right materials for the boots to be made, making her try many dozens of different furs on her feet to see what would be comfortable for him. He knew, and she had told him, that she would be blind once-off of Appa. However, he was grateful she took the trip with him.
The whole time Toph was like a compliant doll, probably used to it from the years of pampering from her parents and servants in Ba Sing Se. She raised her arms as needed and lifted a leg to slip the sweatpants off over her boots without a hitch or complaint. Nor was there any attempt by her to do it on her own. Sokka questioned that most of all, but upon getting the baggy pants off he discovered just why she didn't.
He slipped the pants off of her left booted foot and with her right leg only planted on the ground, Toph lost her balance. It startled Sokka as she immediately bent to put her hand on his shoulder for stability. Without her ability to see through earth bending, everything was dark except for herself.
Sokka stood up, untied the string holding each of her mittens on, an original design meant for a child, and pulled them off with care.
"Cold?" His voice was amused but soft, he was leaning forward and into his charge.
"Freezing." Toph didn't sound as nearly amused as him.
Sokka brushed the long ebony hair away from her delicate face and tucked it behind her ears. He wore a half-smile with pride and laid the inside of his hand on her face, cradling her frozen cheek in his palm. His hands were warm and brought the feeling back in the tingling skin.
"Here." He rubbed his thumbs on the apples of her cheeks. Her pale green eyes were distantly lingering on his chest, although out of habit he looked into them.
With his hands on her, she was given an entire image of him, the way he stood close to her, his muscular arms held up gently to hold her face in his big hands.
"Thanks." Toph paused but her tone left more than one word. She saw the way Sika's chin tilted. "Huh." Her laugh was empty. "So this is what being blind feels like." Her indifference sparked concern in her best friends' chest.
"I guess." The back of his hand ran up the hollow of her cheek. "Are you mad about coming? I could take you home tomorrow morning if you want." Toph shook her head.
"No. I want to stay with you. How many times have I made you suffer at the academy, anyway?" Now there was forced humor in her voice, and she licked her chapped bottom lip. "I just hate feeling so- so"
"Hate feeling helpless?" Toph turned her face away, out of Sokka's hold.
"But this time I am, I've been here 10 minutes and am sick of not being able to see a thing. I mean, YOU'RE my feet. It's amazing if I'm not dead by the time we leave." She threw her hands up in a very Toph way and her voice was animated with amusement, not to hurt Sokka, but in her common joking vernacular.
"You're not missing anything and there's nothing to see but snow for miles. And the village? Not much either. And, HEY, you trust me more than that! "He chuckled when Toph stuck the tip of her tongue out at him and smiled, brightening her sullen face.
"It's funny." She raised her hands up, one finding perch on his broad chest, and the other searching for his hand. "I can't see-see you, it's like being completely alone."
"But you're not alone Toph, you're here with me." She could faintly see the sway of his head nodding in assurance.
"Not like that, dunder-head." She moved her head in her way of rolling her eyes. "It's like… look." She slid her fingertips up to his face and covered his eyes with her hands. "See that?"
"No."
"That's what I'm feeling. Like there isn't anything around me, there's only me, until I can feel through someone else." She moved her hand off of his face and was alone again. "Right now. I can't see you. Or feel your heart. Or tell if you're going to step one way or the other."
Sokka still looked into her eyes, now with a better view that her hair was pulled away.
"You can still see me Toph, you just have to use your hands." He put his hand around hers and brought it flat to his chest, just above his heart.
Toph's fingers splayed slightly, feeling the thump of his strong heart. It was silent in the hut for a moment as he looked down at her, and her face was tilted up towards his. The tiny ridge between her eyebrows told him that she had something on her mind.
"What else?" She asked.
Sokka smiled and took her other hand that was now at her side. He placed it to his cheek lightly. Toph could count on one hand the amount of times she purposefully touched Sokka’s face. Mosr of them in chaste kisses they no longer talk about, she felt his cheekbones but never tried to map his features out.
Toph's fingers swept up his temples and down along the bridge of his nose, delicately sweeping over his eyelids, and brows. She could feel his heart beat faster. The tip of her index finger and first knuckle caressed just along his jaw that was even sharper than the last time she thought she mapped it. She reached the dimple in his chin, he was looking down at her, and his lips were just barely parted.
The pads of her fingers brushed his lower lip and a small smile pulled at the corners of her baby doll lips. He didn't know what she was thinking about but had a feeling it was the same thing he was.
The young pair were pulled apart by a voice calling their attention from just outside the hut.
"Sokka, I said are you both hungry?" Sokka looked up, clearing his throat as Toph turned her head away and cast her glassy eyes downwards.
"Yeah, just leave it here. I'll get it. Thanks." He let her hand slip out his and went to the entrance

Author’s Note: Here is a short but sweet chapter 2. I have a chapter 3 already written, it is much longer, and personally, I think much better, but here we are.
Part 1
Setting: A few weeks later in Toph’s Yu Dao apartment connected to her Metal Bending Academy.
-
Sokka was reading the story of Oma and Shuu while simultaneously interjecting his own tales from his time in the tunnels with some weird, singing hippies.
He reclined on his back, book in his right hand, the left arm bent so his hand was tucked behind his head. I could feel the reverberation of his voice through his body as I lay my head on his lower stomach.
My feet were muffled on the blankets, it was like floating on a bed in the middle of a vast, faint, nothing. It was like flying on Appa, there was just all of us and the wind.
Sokka’s voice lulled me in and out of a lucid sleep, the falling of rain from outside in the background.
It was his laughing that brought me out of another dip in a lucid state. He must have been telling a side story as the deep rumbling of his laughter pulled up back to the surface.
I sighed, stretching my arms up. He put the book down to his chest, watching me as I moved.
I turned onto my side, now facing towards him and giving my back a break with a new angle.
“Have a nice nap?” He raised an eyebrow.
I rubbed my eye with my free hand. “Wasn’t a nap, I was resting my eyes. Don’t worry, you weren’t THAT boring…. this time."
“Right, I’ll just pretend like I didn’t hear you snoring.” He smirked.
“ What!” I shot up, my arm reaching across his stomach to lever myself up. “ I wasn’t snoring. I- I don’t snore!”
Sokka laughed, amused by my reaction, clearly. “ I don’t know Toph, you were pretty loud.”
I swatted at his chest and poked a finger into it. “You are so full of it. I do not snore.”
As I spoke he pretended to lean up and bite my finger, playfully. I moved it out of the way and tapped his nose.
“I don’t snore.” I repeated. Each word was punctuated with a tap A I was trying to maintain a serious face as his smirk grew wider with mischief
He sat up. “You do.” He insisted.
“ I do not! I’ll give you a reason to snore when you’re dead-“
He cut me off with a kiss, quick, not forceful, but enough to make me pause.
“You snore.” He whispered, lips brushing mine as he spoke. I could see his next movement but let him take both my wrists and roll me onto my back.
“ Get OOFFFFF you’re crushing me with your blob of a body.” I twisted about as he lay his belly to mine, pinning me.
He peppered my face kiss after kiss, and in-between each stating, “ You snore.”
I relented, laughing as he blew cool air down my neck. The chill lingered under my clothes. I turned my head to the side, giving him way as I felt his teeth nipping my earlobe and sending all kinds of shockwaves through ever nerve ending in my body. He fake snored into my sensitive ear causing me to shake my head to the other side where he gave it the same treatment. I fought weakly as Sokka attacked from both sides, but his hands get mine pinned.
“If you weren’t cute when you slept I might just be offended that you fell asleep while I was regaling the tails of Omashu.” He finished with a sure peck on my cheek.
I grumbled but didn’t respond, humming into the warm lips on my neck.
He let go of my wrists and grabbed my waist, keeping me pinned as he sat up more, making space between us. I yelped when he grabbed me, thinking he would do the unimaginable and tickle me.
He sat back as he straddles my legs, looking down, his hair loosely falling into his eyes.
“ Are you done?” I inquired, a daring brow raising as I moved my hands, sliding them over and past his grasping hands to the hem of his shirt.
He looked down, following them with his eyes.
Pushing the hem of his shirt away from his pants, my fingers met the welcoming heat of his skin. They brushed up his lower abs until my palm rested as well. With my hand splayed on his front my reaching fingers felt the outline of the muscles.
“Huh.” I paused, feigning indifference. Withdrawing my hand and flicking him in the forehead. “You’re still a blob to me.”
“Sure I am, Toph.” he leaned back into my chest, planting a kiss on my nose. “A handsome blob.”
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders “Fine. A Handsome blob.”
He kissed me deeply in what would be a knee-buckling kiss.
