My art is my catharsis. Sometimes I'm physically reminded of how important it is to distribute your anger and frustration between patience and practice. Dapping is the process in which I make my pennies into my signature cup shapes. It takes strength, dexterity but mostly a finesse found in giving the metal time and space to bend. When I get heavy handed and try to rush my process I end up having to redo hours of work because the piece breaks, rendering it useless. Today was a particularly frustrating day that called on this practice. I can remake the penny.
