Alright, I posted this about nine and a half months ago. At the time, the response was decently positive, so at the time, I was thinking I would do it some time later in the year.
However, real life kind of caught up with me this year, so I was barely able to get any writing done let alone anything else.
However, life has gotten a little stabilized since then, so I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to run one in 2022. Right now I'm thinking maybe late March (so I can get an influx of content for my favorite rarepair right in time for my birthday).
That is, if there's still an interest. How many of y'all would be interested, and how many of you think you'd be able and willing to create content for it?
Apologies-- irl has been really nuts, so I haven't had time to keep up the highlight weeks (hopefully once Toko Week is over I'll be able to get to all of it).
And I know y'all have been eagerly awaiting prompts so you can start working on your submissions-- I will try to have those up sometime this weekend (and don't worry if you're not done in time, we'll accept late submissions).
Get excited, because Toko Week 2022 is only seven weeks away! (Prompt voting is now open here.)
For the next seven weeks, this blog will be sharing content from the first seven Toko Weeks.
This week, we'll be highlighting submissions from Toko Week #1, which was all the way back in 2008. The prompts that year were Nobility, Burned, Tea, Affection, Field Trip, Protection, and Wanted.
Hey! A quick question, when is the Toko week? I would love to do some fanart of the prompts
Hello! There is no Toko Week currently planned - I chose not to rename the blog when I revived it. I believe @ljf613 made plans to start one last year but life happened and it was postponed. I've let them know that they're welcome to use this platform in future for Toko Week.
I haven't planned a Toko Week since 2014, I'm not really familiar with the Toko blogs and AtLA isn't a major fandom of mine at this point. If people want one, this can absolutely be a platform for it, but my 'tenure' was back on deviantART and I think it makes more sense for active Toko fans here to lead things.
