ウルトラマンネクサスが怪獣を追って突入したのは、敵が作り出した最終決戦場「終焉の地」。そこで、怪獣の触手を使った攻撃に劣勢を強いられていた。挙句に捕えられてしまい、さんざんに痛め付けられて敗北。磔刑に処せられる。

From a character design perspective, Kamen Rider Ryuki really hits in a way no other Kamen Rider series does for me. All of it’s riders are clearly part of the same set of people without being on each others side, the show a picks a set of shared design elements (visor slits, undersuit designs, belt and plug placements) and deploys them uniquely with each suit, it creates enough conformity within the designs that when an individual rider breaks from the “common” design elements (Camo’s modified pauldrons, Imperer’s knee-mounted visor, Odin’s golden belt) it really pops. It nails the implementation of the animal motif for each individual rider and it’s also expansive in that it’s very easy to design OCs that remain on theme. Chef’s kiss, all around.
