Kappa Bashi! Above all this is a street for restaurant owners and stores to buy supplies, but I made it a point to visit to be a horrible tourist and buy some fake food. There are several fake food stores here, there might be even more than i found as there are many stores off the sides of the main store that I did not explore.
Since it's made it onto the travel itineraries of tourists, there's actually a fake food store that's tourist oriented, with cheaper smaller items as well as DIY take home kits made of wax (in photos). It's also the closest store to the main intersection of the street. The other two are further south, and have items reaching upwards of $60, $80 and $100+ But they both still have cheaper keychains and other touristy items :)
Maizuru was crowded the entire time i was there, but their secondary shop front that was hidden more inside the street and down the way was completely empty. I think most people blow their cash at Maizuru before they even see the third store or the second storefront haha. All three shops are visible from google maps street view if you want to make sure you know the area before wandering over.
If you're thinking about buying fake food try to check out all the shops before you commit to spending!
It's also a great place to see Kappas of all shapes and sizes! They really take their branding seriously, very cute way to promote the street.
