NYC Food Trip Stop #3: Crepe Monster
Our final stop was Crepe Monster in Korea Town. I know that my pictures don't show how good the crepes are but we were just anxious to finish these monsters. These Tokyo style crepes are definitely unique compared to other crepes I've had - they had unique toppings like red bean paste, mochi bits and condensed milk, as well as I-Scream from Chinatown Ice Cream Factory (see my December and January posts about their ice cream).
The first crepe we had was a Frankenstein Crepe, where we could choose any 1 of their spreads and any 2 of their toppings. We went for a Nutella spread and strawberry and mochi toppings. It can't be seen well here, but this crepe was lightly crisp on the edges and was extremely packed with the Nutella, strawberry and mochi!
The second crepe we had was the Booglie Googlie, which was filled with Beef Bulgogi, lettuce, and kimchi. This reminds me a lot of Tyson's Bees' Korean BBQ Short Rib Beef & Kimchi Burrito that I used to have at school. Gosh, this crepe is soooooooooooo good! I love the crispness of the lettuce, the spiciness of the kimchi, and the juiciness of the beef!
Another really good thing about these crepes are that they are nicely wrapped and packed tight so that they are easy to eat on the go. This, my friends, is what fast food should be like!
