Just my onion: I like that the album sounds more produced than the live just because it adds that magic and excitement to the performances, u know? The album has the pop edge but the live is the EXPERIENCE. I’d like to call out Slow Hands, which I dislike ONLY because it’s so overproduced. The pre-recording of the “whoop” and the voice tuning are a no from me.... Overall Flicker is WONDERFUL and as a first album (Under his control) it’s a very very strong starting point.
that’s a fair point, too!! that they /should/ sound different, i mean - just bc i prefer one doesn’t mean i’m not still grateful that both versions exist, so thank u for that!! you’re v right!! yeah, i think he could do a pretty good whoop on his own that’s a little lower without necessarily running the risk of blowing out his voice, but who am i to say?? slow hands still got to number one, baby!! lol but by all means, i think flicker’s a great, incredibly strong start - it just leaves me more excited to see where niall goes next!
