Taking photos like this are my absolute favorite – photos of the performance as seen through someones phone. I feel its a unique way as a photographer to share the concert experience. I have an entire album of photos like this on my Flickr (link in bio)! . Now as a concert attendee, I hate when everyone has their phones up and the people behind you can’t see the artist on stage. That’s one thing I love about most Japanese artists and concerts in Japan – less or no cameras at all. You just live in the moment. I’m torn, because when I’m not photographing a show and simply attending, I do like to save memories by taking photos as well! So I’m not saying there is anything wrong with it, I’m only suggesting to not live the entire concert through your phone. Take your pictures, record a few of your favorite songs, then put the phone away. Enjoy the moment! . Of all the concerts I’ve attended, the shows in Japan are probably some I remember most vividly even though I don’t have a single photo or video of the event. Forcing yourself to live in the moment really helps you remember the details. (And sometimes writing about it afterwards helps too.) . That’s my 2 cents and PSA for the day. Today was such a good day that, even though I am barely able to keep my eyes open, I wanna stay awake so today will never end! I’ll be good and go to sleep now but just remember, today was an absolutely awesome day!!
