Martina! Where's your gifset? I fell asleep D:
SISTERS! To make this more organized: what do we want our words to be?
(for the record my vote is "the fury of winter is ours" because I can't comment on my own ask).
Martina!
but with an actual head, instead of just the skull?

Dear lord woman! XD
4. Bad book habit? I buy books when I'm stressed. And when I'm stressed, I usually don't have time to read for pleasure. So, the books sit there and stare at me and make me more stressed because I want to read them but don't have time, plus I spent money I could have used elsewhere, and then I break and buy another and so the cycle is perpetuated.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once? I go back and forth, but it generally depends on what I'm reading. Sometimes I will read four or five books at once, but when I'm reading a book that really draws me in or one that I've been waiting for, it's one at a time.
14. Favorite place to read? I have yet to find the perfect position/location for reading. The closest I've managed is in this old, overstuffed recliner that Nick has. With enough pillows, I can create a nice cocoon for myself and a shelf for the book right in front of me.
16. Do you ever dog-ear books? Always. I fiddle with the pages constantly when I read, and the books end up being about twice as thick when I finish as when I began.
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience. A Dance with Dragons. It wasn't so much hype as the fact that I'd been waiting for it for five years. I was acutely aware of my unrealistic expectations and tried so hard to squash them, but in some ways it was unavoidable. The more distance I get, the less disappointed I am, and I think I'm finally ready to reread it now.
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book? The only critical book reviews I can recall reading were for ADWD, and I disagreed with most of them at the time. When I reread it, I may have a different impression. Who knows.
34. Most intimidating book you’re too nervous to begin? I'm really nervous about Deathless, because I've heard nothing but good things about it and I love all the quotes that I've read from it and it grew from folklore, which is my passion on both a personal and academic level, and it's RUSSIAN folklore at that and a;lsdjf;lasfjda;lsdfhnnnnnng. I am so afraid of being disappointed. If it doesn't live up to my expectations I might die.
37. How often have you returned books to the library unread? I don't think I've ever done this.
38. Favourite fictional character? Arya Stark. I love, love, love her. Experience actual physical pain in my chest when I think of her. I've never connected so instantly and completely with a character before.
39. Favourite fictional villain? Satan from Paradise Lost, though, tbqh, I consider him to be as much the hero as the villain. But his speeches are gorgeous, and some of Marlowe's finest work, I think. He's certainly the bright spot in what is often a tedious read. >.>
44. Favourite film adaptation of a novel? This is a toss-up between Fight Club and 1995 Sense and Sensibility. Neither was completely faithful or perfect, but each captured the spirit of the original work in amazing ways and each was fantastic and memorable as an independent work.
45. Most disappointing film adaptation? The 2005 Pride and Prejudice abomination incites physical feelings of revulsion.
50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once you’ve read them? I keep all of them. I rarely even sell back textbooks unless they are written on something I absolutely hate.
52. Name a book that made you angry. The Scarlet Letter. TBH, anything featuring Puritans or other such hypocritical religious zealots is highly likely to piss me off, but Hawthorne's excessive ambiguity annoyed me endlessly, and his characterization of Hester made me want to throw the damn thing across the room.
55. Favorite guilt-free, pleasure reading?
Urban fantasy. I love the idea of this genre so much, so, so much, but most of it is absolute shit with insipid characters, gratuitous sex, and ridiculous plots. It's like Twilight fanfiction on paper. I love it.
