That’s the very last line from Jackson Brown’s “These Days” and it has invaded my spirit once again. It doesn’t even have to play on the radio for it to become an ear worm. It’s my old friend that visits me more often than I’d like. On another note, does Donovan’s Hurdy Gurdy Man sound sad to you? I know he comes singing songs of love, but maybe it’s lost love or unrequited love. And is saying Hurdy Gurdy Hurdy Gurdy really a love song? It’s wistful and haunting to me, but probably because I heard it today while I’m feeling moody.
