Here are the prompts for Oritober, an upcoming Gen and safe-for-work event celebrating our favorite Dwarf scribe!

The event will take place throughout the month of October 2026. Feel free to combine, skip, or repeat prompts as you like! All sorts of media/fan content are welcome!

In order to make finding and accessing content related to the event easier, this blog will be using the tag "tolkien.oritober" (no quotation marks). So please use that when posting your contributions! Please feel free to also "@" this blog (tolkien-oritober-event) if you would like! We really want to see what you create!

As a reminder, here are the guidelines:

No hate speech

No AI of any kind

No NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content

No overt ship content

*As a rule of thumb, if it would be considered "Gen" on AO3, then it is "Gen" here!
