IT WOULD’VE BEEN LIKE ANY other day — normal.
if [y/n]’s twin didn’t race over to her and pull her into the potions’ classroom and tell her that everyone knows about her secret.
“what the bloody hell do you mean, ‘mione? are you sure you didn’t just mishear the conversation?” she asks anxiously, brows knitted together.
“yes, for the millionth time, i did not mishear the rumor! everyone’s talking about your crush on draco. i don’t know how people found out, but everyone’s talking about you.” hermione exclaims to her sister as people start to pile inside the classroom.
“no freaking way! this is not happening…” [y/n] trails off, her heart beating extremely fast in worry.
all she can think of now, is what is she going to do? her nonexistent reputation is completely ruined!
hermione simply stands there, waiting for her sister to collect her thoughts and accept what has happened.
but, like that’d happen with her. not once has [y/n] granger ever stayed calm and accepted anything for what it is.
“you know what? this doesn’t change anything! i just need to get through this class and i’ll be just fine.” [y/n] states completely in denial, shaking her head.
sighing, hermione takes her seat beside her sister, not sure how any of this is going to work out for [y/n].
and for the first few minutes, [y/n] actually starts to believe that everything will be okay.
that is until draco malfoy walks in and his undeniably gorgeous, piercing grey eyes meet hers.
when he smirks, that’s it for her; all her denial and self-confidence crumbles away.
“oh, god. i can’t do this. what am i going to do?” she whispers, her voice breaking as the tears start to build up.
hermione notices this as [y/n]’s breaths start to get shaky.
“hey. you’re going to be fine, okay? everything is going to be just fine. i know you’re scared, but i’m here. i’m not going anywhere and i’m going to help you through this — every step of the way. just try and focus on me and do your best to slow your breathing.” she tells her, grabbing her hand and squeezing it in order to comfort her panicking sister.
sighing, [y/n] focuses on her sister as she tries to slow down her breathing.
it doesn’t work right away, but after focusing for awhile — only on her breathing — it eventually goes back to normal.
throughout [y/n]’s panicking, both sisters hadn’t even realized that class had already begun.
before [y/n] can thank her sister for helping, professor snape interrupts, “ladies, is there something more important than my lesson that you’d like to share with the class?” he asks sternly, glaring at both sisters.
“n—no. i’m sorry, sir. nothing is more important than your lesson.” hermione excuses as snape rolls his eyes and turns back around to continue on with his lecture.
after awhile — other than the constant judging eyes and constant dramatic whisperings — things seem to calm down a little.
at least until draco does the expected; he turns towards the granger girls’ direction and sends a flying origami note straight into [y/n]’s hands when snape isn’t paying attention.
[y/n]’s heart pounds at a fast pace as she slowly and shakingly opens the note.
her heart drops and tears blind her eyesight at the words written in draco’s writing.
i heard you’ve got a little crush on me. how flattering that is, darling.
before she can think, [y/n] balls the paper up and tosses it to hermione.
she stands up abruptly, stealing everyone’s attention.
without another thought, she grabs her things and races out of the room.
once she makes it into her dorm room, she slams the door shut and falls down to the ground, the tears finally falling as the sobs leave her tense body.
minutes later, after all the sobs and cries are out of her system, she gets up and sets her things on her bed.
she wipes away the smudged, dry tears as best as she can.
then, she walks down to the great hall, just in time for lunch.
instead of sitting with her housemates, [y/n] sits down with her friends, who look up at her with worry — all except for ron.
“please, don’t ask about me.” she states as hermione opens her mouth to say something, but then clamps it shut.
“aren’t you going to eat some food?” harry asks in concern when he sees her simply fidgeting with her hands in her lap.
“not hungry.” she mutters uncomfortably.
“okay. i know i said i wouldn’t say anything, but this is ludicrous! she’s acting like she didn’t know this was going to happen. she’s to blame for all this bloody drama! she knows what kind of a bloke malfoy is. what did she think was going to happen? he’d accept her for who she is?” ron exclaims, clearly frustrated and not caring about his friend’s feelings.
“ronald! what the hell!” hermione exclaims, scowling at the red head.
“what’s wrong with you?” harry asks, glaring at his friend.
“no, guys. he’s right. i mean, i — of all people — should’ve saw it coming. he’s not a good guy? okay, i get it! but, even if it hurts that he doesn’t care about me at all, what actually matters is that one of my best friends cares more about being right than supporting his friend through hard times. so, thank you so much, ron, for your honesty and showing me what really matters.” [y/n] states, her voice nearly breaking.
without another word, she turns around and hurriedly rushes out of the great hall, not even noticing all the eyes on her — every single hogwarts house saw the entire exchange between ron and [y/n].
including draco, who watches her with confusion and another unknown emotion.
once she exits the great hall, [y/n] finally lets the waterworks leave her body and rushes to her favorite place where she goes to when she needs to think or be alone.
it’s an abandoned corridor that barely anyone enters anymore.
she sits herself down on the ledge by the window and holds her knees up to her chest as she lets her head fall, the sobs escaping and the tears falling freely.
“i thought i’d find you here.” hermione says from behind her.
[y/n] looks up to see her sister standing in front of her, arms crossed with draco stood behind her.
“uh, what are you two doing here?” she asks in a raspy tone, wiping her tears away as if they were never there.
“well, i wanted to check up on you, so i left the great hall. and this git wanted to as well, so i said that i’d bring him here.” she explains as [y/n] sighs, refusing to look the slytherin boy in the eyes.
“and now that i see that for sure you haven’t set yourself on fire, i’m going to head back. i’ll talk to you later, [y/n/n], okay?” hermione says as [y/n] nods.
“you two should talk,” she tells her sister, before turning to draco, “i know it seems like she wants nothing to do with you. but, i promise it’s just her self-defense mechanism. she likes to act like she wants nothing to do with you when she’s really just hurt.” she explains to him as she turns to walk out of the corridor.
“so, you wanted to check on me? why?” [y/n] finally asks, turning to actually look up at him.
“yeah. i wanted to make sure you were okay since my note and what weasley said to you seemed to really upset you.” he admits, walking to sit beside her on the ledge.
“it’s whatever. honestly, draco, you don’t need to try to make me feel better just because you feel bad for not caring about me the way i do about you.” she states, trying to hold in the tears as she moves over for him, so her legs lay over the edge of the ledge.
“but… that’s the thing. i do think of you like that. that note i gave you, i was trying to make you smile because it was kind of obvious people were giving you a hard time.” he states, looking over at her intensely.
“draco, please. don’t try to make me feel better about this, okay? i get it. it sucks when you find out someone likes you, but you don’t feel the same. so, naturally, you do anything you can… to help take away some of the pain. i know you don’t like me because you’re the invincible slytherin prince. and i’m the plain and simple, shy, naive girl that no one cares about. don’t lie to my face to make me feel better. just be honest.” she sighs as more tears fall down her already red cheeks.
“i’m not lying about this. but if you want the entire truth… fine,” he sighs, inhaling sharply, “i do feel that way about you. i’ve always felt this way. at first, i thought the whole quiet girl thing was cute. but then, i saw how your friends treated you. they treated you like you were fragile. so, i started to watch you more closely whenever you were around me. i learnt that you’re the kind and loyal and genuine and selfless and caring and loving and happy type of girl that everyone takes advantage of. you like to portray yourself as happy and positive so no one worries about you, or so no one ever knows the pain you’ve endured. you light up a room just by your smile. people get inspired by you because of who you are. and after i started to realize these things about you, i didn’t just admire you. i started to fall in love with these parts of you until i realized how you make me feel. i just never told you any of this because i was scared you couldn’t love such a damaged bloke like me.” he says, leaving her completely speechless.
“w—what?” she asks, utterly surprised.
“do i need to spell it out for you?” he asks, rolling his eyes.
her eyebrows furrow in confusion as he cups her cheeks.
he pulls her towards him as their lips meet.
the kiss is full of urgency and passion and desperation — a kiss that both teenagers have been waiting for, for so long.
“so, just to make it clear, you do have romantic feelings for me?” she asks, giggling at his smile.
“should i make it clear again?” draco asks with a smirk.
“yes, please.” [y/n] giggles.
and with that, he closes the gap between them once more.

"'MIONE, HAVE YOU cut the daisy roots, yet?" Y/N asked in a quiet voice as she stirred the cauldron with slow, clockwise movements. She and Hermione had been sitting at a workbench in Professor Snape's classroom for some time now, working together on the shrinking potion that he'd assigned for the period. Snape had performed a demonstration in the class prior, but this time, they were responsible for brewing the substance themselves. "I think it's almost warm enough to drop them in," she hummed, continuing to heat the cauldron gently.
Hermione turned to look at the girl and she managed a strained smile. "Yeah, they're all cut up," she explained. She cupped her hand and slid the pile of finely-chopped roots into a small bowl, figuring they'd be easier to dump in that way. She pushed then to Y/N over the tabletop before her gaze flickered elsewhere. "Have you noticed that Malfoy's been staring at you all class?" she muttered out of the blue, tearing her eyes off of what Y/N assumed was the platinum blonde's table.
Y/N offered her friend a gentle shake of her head and she tapped the rim of the glass on the edge of the cauldron, watching as the pieces of root fell into the thick bubbles in the cast-iron pot. "If he was staring, I'm sure I would've noticed by now," she replied, earning a heavy sigh and an eyeroll from Hermione as she peeked into her notebook to see what she needed to add next. She plucked a green bottle and the bowl of caterpillars up off of the table. "Shake the wormwood for me?" she asked, holding the bottle out to Hermione.
Hermione nodded and gently took the bottle from Y/N. "Sure." Pressing her index finger down on the cork at the top, to keep from spilling it everywhere by accident, she began to shake it vigorously. Her brown eyes seemed to trail off again as she shook the wormwood and she found herself narrowing them when they landed on Draco Malfoy for the umpteenth time that class. She was anything but surprised to find his icy gaze locked on the girl beside her. "My God, he's foul," she hissed.
"He's just sitting there, 'Mione," Y/N laughed as she dropped five hairy caterpillars into the pot. It was satisfying to watch them to sink into the purple sludge, but she didn't dwell on that long, as Hermione handed her the bottle of wormwood. "No offense, but can he not just breathe without you insulting him for once?" she questioned with light-hearted intentions as she popped the cork off of the small phial and poured it all into the potion. She watched as it's rich, purple color simmered into a dark green, and she looked over at her frizzy-haired companion.
Hermione stared back at her with a dumbfounded look. "You're joking," she stared and she slipped behind Y/N. The next step was to add the juice from four leeches and it could almost be considered law for the two witches to switch places when anything to do with leeches was involved. Hermione hated the bloody things. Y/N wasn't a fan, either, but she seemed to stomach them better. "Look, he can't keep his eyes off of you, Y/N/N," she hummed, starting to stir the potion rapidly. "It's sickening."
After Y/N lifted the leeches from a jar with her wand and set them into a mortar, she let her eyes flicker up from what she was doing for the first time. She'd almost been nervous about what she might've seen, but her nerves were calmed when she was met with the back of his head, her eyes locking onto tufts of white-blonde hair. "I wouldn't say sickening," Y/N defended quietly as she squished the leeches with a pestle. Her eyes had left the Slytherin boy for a simple second, to check on what she was doing, but when she looked back up, her heart fluttered in her chest. Her eyes were met with the gray-blue color of his own and she could feel the heat sparking beneath her cheeks as she looked at him. She couldn't seem to read Draco's expression as he stared at her, but she also couldn't seem to take her eyes off of him. Something about him was entirely too captivating. "I think he's rather handsome, actually," she stated matter-of-factly, her eyes still locked with his, and he flashed her a small smirk. A gentle smile eased onto her face in response and she turned away from him shyly, directing her focus back onto her smushed leeches.
"You can't be serious," Hermione said as she stirred, looking over at her. "He's such a rat," she argued and Y/N shrugged her shoulders.
It wasn't her fault that she was attracted to him. He was tall, mysterious, and he had skin as smooth as anything. She wouldn't even get herself started on his hair or the color of his eyes or the confident aura he oozed. "I can't help it, 'Mione, he's cute," Y/N told her, pouring the juice from the leeches into the cauldron. "Even if he does have his head up his arse half the time."
—
All of her classes after Potions had seemed to fly by that day, until Y/N was sitting next to Hermione—once again—in their last class of the day. She was never really fond of Transfiguration, as it wasn't one of her strong suits, but having one of her best friends there to offer her pointers didn't hurt. She looked over at Hermione to check the page number on her textbook, to make sure they were looking at the same material, but she found the girl glaring daggers at someone, instead. She furrowed her eyebrows and followed her gaze to the desk sitting diagonally in front of their own, where Draco and Crabbe were leaned over the top of it.
Draco was looking at Y/N over his shoulder and his eyebrows lifted slightly when her eyes met his own. Trying to pretend like Hermione wasn't ready to pounce beside her, she flashed the blonde a gentle smile. In place of smiling back, he offered her a smirk and sent a little wink in her direction, before turning back around in his seat.
Her heart jumped in her chest for the second time that day for the same reason and she looked to Hermione with a giddy smile on her face. "He just winked at me," she hummed, tilting her head bashfully as she did, and she didn't miss the way that Hermione rolled her eyes.
"Bloody hell, Y/N," Hermione cursed, clearly having spent too much time with a certain redhead lately. "Don't tell me he's actually catching starting to catch your interest," she pleaded.
Y/N shrugged her shoulders at that and she gestured to the boy in a subtle manner. "'Mione, have you seen him? How could he not?" she argued quietly and she watched her friend gag mockingly. "He's not even that bad, you're just dramatic," she concluded with a small laugh and she bumped Hermione with her elbow.
The girl scoffed and shook her head, her untamable hair swaying along with the gesture as she did. "Merlin, I really don't know what I'm going to do with you, Y/L/N," she admitted, jokingly for the most part, but she didn't say much else before a soft psst broke their conversation.
"Y/L/N," the voice hissed again, and since Professor McGonagall had her back turned on the class, Y/N looked around, only to find her eyes fixed on Draco's once more. Catch, he mouthed, lifting his hands to reveal a small crane, neatly folded out of parchment paper, and he blew a gentle puff of air onto it. With a single breath, the parchment crane fluttered to life and her eyebrows quirked upwards as it soared her way. She held her hands out to catch it carefully, ignoring a judge look from Hermione and the way Draco's eyes lingered on her as they watched her unfold it. Her eyes flickered over the paper, following his handwriting, which was tall, messy, and very fitting for someone like him.
Wait for me after class? – D. M.
Y/N grinned to herself as she took in the message and she looked up at him. He raised his eyebrows as if to repeat his question and she nodded her head. Seemingly satisfied with her response, Draco mirrored her nod, poking his tongue into his cheek as if to hide a smile, and he turned back around.
Hermione tapped the note with the feathery end of her quill and Y/N looked over at her. "You're not actually going to meet him, are you, Y/N?" she asked quietly, her tone flushed with something comparable to worry.
Y/N almost felt bad for continuing to fight her on it when she knew that Hermione was only looking out for her. "Of course, I'm going to do it," she paused, "I mean, what's the worst he could do, you know?" she finished.
Hermione sighed softly, but ultimately, she decided to give her a nod of approval. "Not that you need my permission, anyways, but fine," she agreed reluctantly. "Just be careful, please. You know I worry about you and the other two," she hummed, in reference to Ron and Harry, the missing pieces of their little group. "I'll hex him out of the castle if he tries anything slick, alright?"
She knew that she was lucky to have someone as supportive and protective as Hermione Granger in her life, so she smiled, placing a hand on the girl's arm affectionately. "Alright. Thank you, 'Mione," she said and Hermione nodded, giving her a small smile.
—
"Alright, everyone. I think that's enough for today," Professor McGonagall called out when the class had finally come to a close. "Class dismissed." She clasped her hands and returned behind her desk as the students began to gather their belongings. Hermione was one of the first ready to leave, with all of her notebooks stuffed into her shoulder bag and her textbook cradled in her arms.
She turned to Y/N as she stood up to leave and she set a hand on her shoulder. "First, remember what we talked about earlier, please," she started, pausing to flash Y/N, who nodded in return, a supportive grin. "And second, I expect all the details when you get back to the dorm. Good luck." Hermione sang the last word as she pulled her hand from the girl's shoulder.
Knowing how strongly Hermione felt with her dislike for Draco, it meant a lot to Y/N that she put her happiness above that. "Thank you, I'm sure I'll need it," she joked, stuffing the last of her books into her bag. "I'll see you when I get back," she promised on a more serious note and the Gryffindor pivoted on her heel, hurrying towards the door so that Y/N might get to meet up with Draco sooner.
Y/N smiled to herself when she was alone, standing up out of her seat and slinging her bag over her shoulder. All of the other students had left the room by then, leaving her, Draco, and McGonagall as the remaining trio. Deciding it was time to approach him, she made her way over to the blonde and crossed her arms over her chest when his eyes flickered up to her. "Hi, Draco." She managed a smile at him, a certain kindness settling in on her features, and he gave a quick jut of his chin in greeting.
"Hello, Y/L/N," he addressed her with a teasing lilt in his voice and she would be lying if she said that it didn't make her the slightest bit nervous. "I wasn't actually sure if you'd stick around," he admitted through a smirk, flipping his bag shut and securing the clip, before he slipped the strap onto his shoulder.
She gave him a weak shrug and she matched his pace as they started towards the exit. "Well, you've been catching my eye all day. I was too curious to ditch you," countered Y/N, jokingly of course, and she stepped out into the corridor with Malfoy at her side. "Why'd you want me to wait up for you?" she questioned as she decided to turn in the direction she'd take to the Gryffindor commons. She figured if he wanted to talk so badly, he'd follow her.
And he did, of course.
Draco didn't even seem to notice as his steps mimicked her own. "I just wanted to get you away from Granger," he explained with a smirk on his lips and she furrowed her eyebrows at him in confusion. Maybe he really was going to hex her or something. "I wanted to tell you that you look nice today without her biting my head off," he elaborated, quick to dispel her doubts in him, and she was almost relieved.
As his words settled in, Y/N could feel herself blushing and she grinned, looking down at her shoes as she walked. Draco's compliment was sweet and all, but it seemed like it had come out of the blue. The two of them never harbored any bad blood towards one another, but that didn't mean they talked all the time. In fact, they hardly spoke at all unless it was necessary.
"Pardon my curiosity, Malfoy, but why are you suddenly so interested?" she found herself asking, turning her head to look back up at him once her initial sheepishness had subsided.
Draco looked over at her as soon as she turned away again, his eyes lingering on the side profile of her face while hers were directed at the empty corridor in front of them. "Well, winter's coming up. I figured I'd have to act quick if I wanted to keep you company in the cold, yeah?" He hummed confidently and he fought a laugh at the face she mad when she shot him a look. Clearly, she didn't buy that but. He settled for a shrug instead. "I don't know, Y/L/N, I just— I guess I never looked hard enough before," he confessed for real, his eyes never leaving hers as he said it.
Y/N's eyebrows quirked upwards in surprise. "So, you're serious, then? I thought this was all a bloody setup," she shared.
"No, I'm quite serious," he reassured her.
At that, she couldn't help from letting a small smile slip onto her lips. "In that case, you look nice today, too, I suppose," she returned his compliment with a cool tone of voice, hoping it would seem more nonchalant. She noticed the way that her words were like fuel to his smirk, as it grew after she spoke.
"Let's go to Hogsmeade together later. We can get something to eat and walk around," Draco suggested, waggling his eyebrows down at her. "And maybe, if it's cold enough, you'll want to hold my hand," he teased with a wink.
Of course, Draco would skip the formalities if making a date a question, but she should've expected this sort of straightforwardness from him. She didn't mind it, though. She'd always found it attractive when boys knew what they wanted. "Malfoy," she hummed through a small laugh. "You know, I don't have to be cold to want to hold your hand, yeah?" she confessed, slipping her fingers into his own as they walked, and he spared her a cocky glance.
She knew that would go right to his head. "So, it's a date, then?" he questioned and she nodded.
"It's a date," Y/N affirmed
"Alright, well, I hope you're buying," Draco said nonchalantly and her head whipped around so she could face him. The look she shot him was almost comical and he fought a laugh as she flicked him in the arm. "I'm pulling your leg, Y/L/N. I might be a prat, but I have some manners. I am walking you back to the Gryffindorks, aren't I?" he pointed out and her eyebrows lifted. She remembered how she'd assumed he hadn't noticed when she'd deliberately set them on a path back to her room, but of course, he had.
So sorry this is late, like really late. And I apologize if it's bad. I had just written a story before this one and I'm in the writing mood tonight so I thought I'd fulfill a very overdue request. So here y'all go and again sorry to you who requested this. I've been very busy with college and such.
Y/B/N = Your Baby's Name
Staring in the mirror, you see everything you’ve feared. You know having fat on your body isn’t a bad thing, especially when it’s from a precious human being that you made with your favorite person, your husband. But, something in your mind is pointing out all the flaws that society has made you think are bad and something you should get rid of. But, of course, with a new baby, getting rid of these said flaws isn’t something you have the energy nor the time for. You try to be strong for both your baby and your husband, but it’s one of the hardest things you’ve had to go through.
Just as the tears started to slip over onto your cheeks, you hear the cries of your daughter from the baby monitor. Brushing the tears away, you throw on a shirt and rush to your daughter’s nursery.
“Hey, baby. What’s going on?” You question her as you lift her from your crib. You had just fed her and changed her before going to get ready for the day, so you didn’t really understand what she was fussing about. Maybe she just wants some attention.
Holding her against your chest and rocking her back and forth, Y/B/N’s cries have died down as you roam around the kitchen to find something to eat for yourself.
* * *
6 in the afternoon and Y/B/N has been crying and fussing on and off all day. You have done everything to calm her down. Although at the time, everything you do works, she just starts fussing again shortly later. Is this really what parenting was like? What having a kid was like?
Tears stream down your face, having just gotten your baby girl to calm down for the umpteenth time today, you hear the front door open, announcing the arrival of your husband coming home from work. Tom, making his way down the hall, sees you pacing in your shared bedroom with your daughter on your chest, a smile forming on his face at the sight of his wife and newborn. Even in sweats and a hoodie, you will always be the most beautiful woman in his eyes.
But, just as you turn around, Tom sees the tears stained on your cheeks and rushes towards you. You spot Tom in the doorway, your cries becoming heavier.
“Baby, what’s going on? Is everything okay?” Tom asks you, concerned, placing one hand on his daughter’s head and the other on your cheek.
“I’m such a bad mother,” You cry to him, and just by hearing your worry, he knows you’re having a bad day and he just needs to be there for you and your baby.
“No, Y/N, you are not a bad mother. You are a fantastic mother. Why would you say such a thing?” Tom questions, placing a comforting kiss on your forehead. But, before you could answer, your baby answers for you with another bout of cries.
“She’s been fussing all day and no matter what I do, she keeps fussing and crying.” You continue your cries.
“Oh, baby,” Tom smiles at you with sympathy before he takes Y/B/N from your arms and holds her to his own chest, rocking her back and forth in his arms. “Why don’t you sit here while I go put her down and I will be right back, okay? Just take a deep breath and I will be back in a flash.” He places one last kiss on your head before leaving for your baby’s nursery.
Before you knew it, Tom was back in your room, ready to take care of you and rid away your bad day. He hands you a cold glass of water and settles himself before taking your hand in his and walking you into the bathroom. He helps you up onto the sink, wetting a washcloth and brushing it against your flushed cheeks.
“Now, tell me what’s going on in that pretty little mind of yours,” Tom requests and you begin your rant.
“It’s just been an insane day. Y/B/N has been giving me a ton of trouble today and I can’t get her to calm down. When I do, she just starts fussing all over again. I feel like such a bad mother for not being able to calm down my own child. To add to that, my insecurities are getting to me. I hate my body ever since I had Y/B/N, all this extra fat everywhere and I can’t do anything about it because I have no time and no energy to top that off. I’m so overwhelmed and I feel like everything is falling apart and I know that that’s not something I should say but…” You were interrupted by a comforting kiss on your lips. You melt into the kiss, just a small bit of your day just slipping away just within a kiss.
“I’m so sorry I haven’t been here to help you, Y/N,” Tom states, his forehead pressed against yours, his hands on either side of your face as you take deep breaths. “First of all, my love, you are not a bad mother. Not even close,” He pauses, looking up into your eyes, making sure yours meet his. “You are a new mother and no new mother has everything in control. You will get the hang of it all in no time and you will be the best mother anyone has ever seen.” Although it was short-lived, you still managed a smile.
“When it comes to your body, baby, you are so beautiful. I know you know where that extra weight came from and there is absolutely no need to be ashamed of that. No matter what you weigh or what you look like, I will always love you. And I will always be here to assure you how gorgeous you are and always will be.” Tom gives you a loving, sweet smile.
“Now, here’s what’s going to happen: I’m going to ask for some time off…” Tom mentions before you interrupt him.
“No, Tom, you can’t do that. You’re in the middle of shooting a movie,” You tell him, even though you know he knows it.
“Y/N, I know. But, you and Y/B/N are so much more important to me than anything else. So, I am going to ask for that time off and I am going to be here. I am going to take care of you and Y/B/N, as a father and husband should. I hate that I haven’t been here as much as I should…” You interrupt him again. “Tom, you are an amazing father. You are so good with Y/B/N. Don’t be hard on yourself for not being here. You are doing so much for us just by working and providing for us…”
“Y/N, would you please stop interrupting me? I’m trying to comfort you here,” That brought a laugh out of you, making Tom chuckle in return. “Back to what I was saying; you will not be alone, Y/N. And if you ever feel alone or if you ever have any more negative thoughts, please, I beg of you, come to me and I will be there, no matter what. I love you so much and we will get through this.” Tom finishes, brushing his thumbs gently over your cheeks.
“Thank you, baby. I love you.” You meet halfway, colliding in a very needed, passionate kiss.
“How about you settle into the bath,” Tom starts, walking to the tub and turning on the water for you. “While I go double check on Y/B/N and I will join you before you can say ‘I love you’, alright?” Tom gives you a sweet smile and gentle forehead kiss, making you smile before making his way out of the room.
“I love you!” You shout to him in a giggly voice, just to make a point. “I love you, sweetheart!” Tom shouts back, making you let out a loud laugh. Little did you know, Tom has a huge smile on his lips and a heart split into a million pieces, burst from the never-ending abundance of love he feels for you.
Author’s note: Sorry for the long wait, I was on a hiatus. I had to figure out a few things in my life and focus on my mental health.
Hospitals have always been one of my least favorite places on the planet. When a family member or acquaintance had a kid, I didn't even want to go there. I felt sick to my stomach from the scent of antiseptics and the notion that someone could be dying in one of the rooms, so I tried to stay away from the building as much as possible. But right now, I'm sitting in the waiting room, staring at half-white, half-sage green walls, trying to take in as little air as possible to avoid the stench of antiseptics and my excessively protective boyfriend freaking out next to me.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you need to be more cautious?" Tom sighs and fidgets with his watch on his wrist, checking the time every second and blaming the ER nurses and physicians for their slow job. "We've been here for more than a half-hour and no one has bothered to inquire as to what we're waiting for.”
"Tom, I have a sprained ankle, but I'm not going to die. Calm down, just because you're impatient doesn't mean they can work faster," I say as I roll my eyes and gaze around the waiting area, attempting to figure out why people are there. He groans and gets up to find a nurse or a doctor who can finally check on my leg. I take a big breath and rub my temples. Deep down, I'm glad he went to see a doctor because my ankle has swollen and become more painful than it was when we arrived. I would never have given him the satisfaction of being correct about me pushing my limits too hard and refusing to accept when my body attempts to tell me to stop or not do anything, putting me in situations like the one I'm in now. When I tried the online yoga session, it was meant to be a simple assignment, and I carefully followed every instruction, but my body was still fatigued and stiff from the hiking the day before. And, of course, my obstinate arse refused to listen to Tom when he advised me to take a break and try the class again a few days later.
He sits down next to me and takes my hand in his, massaging the back of it with his thumb. "Alright, a nurse will be with us shortly," he says. Without saying anything, I kiss his shoulder and express my gratitude for his kindness and affection. "You don't have to hide it; I can tell how much pain you're in right now just by looking at the size and colour of your ankle, dear."
I roll my eyes and lie my head on his shoulders, smelling his wonderful aroma and listening to his slow breathing. I attempt to ignore the puzzled looks of onlookers and patients who recognise him and are undoubtedly trying to figure out why he's there and with whom. We never told the gossip-hungry social media users and the deceitful newspapers about our relationship. Only those who were close to us knew about us, and we want it that way.
"Miss Y/L/N, please come with me," a middle-aged nurse says, smiling gently and directing us to the examination room, where a doctor is already waiting for us. Tom assists me in standing and sitting up in bed, and then graciously moves away to give the nurse and doctor more room.
"What appears to be a problem, Miss Y/L/N?" He gets up from his desk and walks over to me, where he sits on a little stool and gently touches my ankle, causing me to groan in pain.
"She felt it would be a good idea to try an online yoga class with no prior experience in either an online class or yoga," Tom says, looking at me and then at the doctor.
"On my own, I can tell him what's wrong." I give my lover a mischievous scowl before returning my gaze to the doctor, who is attempting to examine my ankle without further injuring it. "But in a nutshell, that's what happened, huh”
"All right, let me see that ankle," he jokes, and a two-hour treatment begins, including a trip to another hospital level to have it x-rayed.
——-
"Careful" Tom assists me out of the car and supports me by placing my arm around his shoulder as we walk to the house. "You know what the nice thing in this?" I asked, holding a gorgeous pink plaster on my ankle up to the middle of my shin and a small bottle of pills in case "You know what the good thing in this?”
"No, but knowing you, you'll tell me in less than a minute," I say softly as I take a seat on the living room couch, my leg propped up next to me to relax.
"I can baby you, and you won't be able to stop me," he grins as he walks to the backyard to allow Willow in and feed her. She dashes inside, but Tom stops her and kneels to cup her cheek. "Willow, listen to me, mommy's ankle is injured, so you must be gentle around her," he says. "Please don't jump on mama or lay on her legs." He kisses Willow on the head and walks away. I chuckle from the living room, knowing well well that no one can stop Willow from sleeping on my leg.
———
"Tom?" you might ask. An hour later, I dial his number. After the painkiller knocked me out, I got a great nap, and when I awoke, Willow was sleeping on top of me, breathing noisily in my neck. I hear loud and rapid footsteps, so I suppose my partner is running down from our room or his study to the living area.
"Are you all right? Is there anything else you require? Do you have any discomfort?" I giggle quietly as he looks at me with a worried expression on his face.
"I'm alright, but could you just get me a bottle of water?" I give him a friendly grin and gently massage the area behind Willow's ear. I smile at her as she groans a bit in her sleep.
Tom goes in and brings me my water before sitting down next to me and wrapping his arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to his body, and kissing my cheek softly.
"How are you doing?" he inquires.
"Much better," I say softly as I put my head on his shoulder, my eyes resting a bit. "Now that you're with me, sweetheart," I say softly as I kiss his lips and lean my head on his shoulder, resting my eyes a little.
"I've been thinking about us," she says. "We've been dating for a while, and if I'm being honest, you're the only person in my life who gives meaning to everything," Tom says, taking a deep breath. "Y/N, you're the light in my days, and I'm tired of always having to go over to your place, or waiting for you until you're off work and can come over.”
I bite the inside of my cheek, trying to figure out if the butterflies and peculiar feeling in my stomach are due to the love and happiness this man has given me for almost two years, or to my concern about his intentions about this brief speech. I raise my eyes to him and admire his features.
"Y/N, would you like to move in with me and Willow?" he asks, sighing and looking down at me with genuine love in his ocean blue eyes. I give him a big smile and kiss his jaw. When my buddy put me up on a blind date with him two years ago, I was convinced he'd find someone else shortly. But no, this man has always been at my side, giving me his undivided attention, sharing his dreams and anxieties with me, and becoming not only my lover, but also my best friend. I knew I didn't want to be with anybody else the moment he revealed me his soul.
"I'd love to, babe," I say as I stroke his thigh and advance a little to lightly kiss his lips. He pulls me closer to him and places his palm on my cheek, stroking my skin with his thumb as he smiles against my lips and intensifies our kiss. I make a slight movement, and he instantly pulls away from me, frowning at my leg.
"No, no, no sexy time till your leg is better," he says, shaking his head and kissing the bridge of my nose. "Do you need extra pillow under your leg?" he asks. Or do you want me to take Willow off your lap?"
"No, I want you to kiss me again," I say as I grip his chin and turn his face back to me.
"Okay, so, I brought additional pillows to our bed, so you may put your leg on them at night," he pecks my lips a few times before pulling away, prompting me to grunt in irritation. “My mom will be here shortly with soup and cookies, as she is concerned about your health. In addition, I composed a song about our hospital visit and-“
"Tom, I love you, but you talk too much sometimes" I chuckle and look at him. "You know, you could use your lips for something other than talking" Tom grins and leans in closer to my lips. "Oh, really?" he asks, softly touching his lips to mine. "I can think of a few things you don't need your leg for" he kisses the corner of my lips and pulls me onto his lap.
Y/n’s Pov- I was sitting in my apartment on my weekend off and I was staring at my phone wondering whether or not to FaceTime Tom this early in the morning. We would usually FaceTime at night since he usually had a weird work schedule, but I was just tempted today. As I was about to press the FaceTime button, Tom’s contact picture popped up, he was FaceTiming me instead. “Heyyy, I was just about to FaceTime you” I smiled. “Great minds think alike,” he laughed, “What were you gonna call me about?” t. “Nothing in particular I was just bored” I sighed. “Well lucky for you I was calling to ask you to hang out” t. “Perfect timing. Where are we going?” y/n . “That’s a surprise”t. “Then how am I supposed to get there?” y/n. “I’m picking you up duh” he laughed, ”be ready by 10,” he said and hung up… “So where are we going?” I asked Tom as he started up the car. “We’re going to the Farmers Market” t. “Ooh the farmers market. I was just thinking about how I wanted some fresh pressed juice” I smiled… “We have arrived,” Tom said, pulling into the parking spot in front of the market. “Where to first m’lady?” t. “Mmm that bread looks good, but I also want that juice I was talking about” y/n. “Right, let’s find a juice station then,” he said, extending his arm out to me. I intertwined my arm with his and we walked around the market looking for the juice stand… We were walking around when I spotted a little gathering happening, “What’s going on over there?” y/n. “That’s what we’re here for, it’s a wine tasting event” t. “What??? You didn’t tell me this was happening” I said getting excited, but low key nervous that he would see me a bit tipsy since I for sure wasn’t gonna spit out the wine and waste good wine…. “Yes this one is quite wonderful” I mimicked a posh accent. “It is quite wonderful” Tom laughed, smacking his tongue. We saw an employee walk towards us and we quickly chugged the rest of the little sample we had. “I see your guys’ bucket is empty, I advise you don’t get out of hand or we might have to escort you guys out” the employee said in a creepy warning tone with a smile. “Mhm” we both nodded and he walked away. “I advise you don’t get out of hand” I mimicked laughing and Tom bursted out laughing with me. I looked at Tom while he was laughing and grabbed his face pulling him in to kiss me. Shocked at first he hesitated, but then pulled me closer to him by my waist and kissed me back passionately. “Woah” he laughs slightly as we separate. “Omg sorry. You just looked really hot right now” I laughed a little embarrassed at how aggressive I was. “No need to apologize, I quite enjoyed that” he chuckled… We had left the wine tasting event so that we could walk off the wine and walked around the market trying different samples of the produce, bread, and cheeses… “So you’re just gonna drop me off now?” I sighed as we were on our way back to my apartment. “I think we should keep this going. I’m having a lot of fun today” Tom smiled. “Me too. Ooh we could get take out and watch some movies. Not Harry Potter this time I promise” I suggested. “That sounds fun. Oh oh you know what we could do? What if we go to a drive-in movie theatre?” t. “Yes! We can take food and blankets!” y/n…. “No no not that one” I cringed at the movie he suggested. “Then which one?” Tom groaned. “Mmm how about The Nightmare Before Christmas?” t. “I think... yes” I smiled… “Stoppp. That’s not funny” I tried to stifle my laugh. “Oh really? Then why are you laughing?” tom laughed, poking my side. “Because you’re an idiot” I laughed trying to block him hands from tickling me. “The other people are gonna get mad at us stop” I whispered scream. I grabbed his hand, stopping him from poking me, he looked at me laughing and smiled at me, bringing his head down closer to mine. He placed a short kiss to my lips and held my hand. “Ok fine, let’s try to get through the rest of this movie without disturbing the peace” he sighed. “Mhm” I smiled covering us with a blanket and snuggling into him. He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on top of mine… I grabbed some cotton candy for myself and then grabbed some more and held it above my head for Tom to eat. I grabbed another bite and then the same, I felt Tom laughing, “What?” I asked. “Nothing he chuckled. You’re funny” t. “Howww???” y/n. “You eat a piece, then give me a piece, then you get another bite and hand me another bite” he laughed lightly. I smiled lightly, I hadn’t really noticed how cheesy I was being. “I won’t feed you anymore then” I laughed. “What?! No why?” he whined. “Because you have your own hands” y/n. “But my hands are busy hugging you” t. “Mmm good point” I nodded, popping some popcorn into his mouth… “Well that was a fun hangout” he smiled. He was walking me to my apartment, our hands intertwined. “We always end up making more plans while at our plans” I laughed. “Because we enjoy each other's company” t. “I guess so” I smiled. We arrived in front of my apartment and he stood in front of me and held both of my hands. “Speaking of enjoying each others company, we’ve been enjoying each other's company a lot lately and I was wondering… Would you be my girlfriend?” t. I smiled widely at him and brought him down to give him a kiss. “Of course I would” I smiled at him holding his hands again. He grabbed my face and gave me another kiss, I could feel his smile. “Glad we’ll be enjoying more of each other's company then” he laughed.
Request: can you do a Tom Felton imagine where y/n and him have to do a kiss scene together and she’s like really nervous so he does a few things to try and ease her? Also can they be in love but they hide it until eventually Tom can’t stop himself? Thank you xx

It’s okay to feel that way
You watched as Tom walked onto set a wide smile on his face. He greeted the director and had a few words whilst you tried not to freak out. Tom Felton was your first crush in life and he still is. The way he’s just so happy all the time makes you happy and everyone around him happy. There’s never a day when he’s not smiling. You kept on unscrewing and screwing the lid on the water bottle obviously trying to calm down. Tom slowly walked over to you a smile still on his face “Hey, you know what scene is next right?” you nodded and he smiled “great. Do you mind if I take a look at the script quickly?” you nodded and picked your bag up giving the script to him and smiling a little bit “I only know that I’m meant to kiss you today” you nodded slowly and looked down playing with your hands a little bit not noticing the smile Tom gave you. He could read you like a book. He was very good at that. He could tell when anyone was sad or happy or anxious and right now you were an open book. “Nervous?” he asked making you look up and smile a little bit “I-I guess so” he smiles “no need to worry lovely. I won’t bite” you smile a little and watch as he puts the script down “okay how about this... to help you we can do something,” you nodded telling him to continue “so why don’t we go to my dressing room and we can practice for a while. Practice being in each other’s presence but being close” you visibly gulped and Tom smiled sweetly and before you could stop yourself you nodded “yeah I’m up to do that” he smiled “great. I’ll be in my dressing room. Come and find me in a while” you nodded and he smiled before walking off talking to a few other people whilst on the way out. About ten minutes later you built the courage to head to tom’s dressing room. You greeted a few people before stopping near his door and knocking gently “come in!” Tom called and you opened it causing him to smile “ahh come to see the show!” you giggled slightly at his Harry Potter line. You shut the door before sitting down on the sofa “you’re so silly Tom” he hummed and stared at you “okay you wanna get started?” you nodded and he stood up sitting beside you “well what I do to get into the phase of love is just to hug the specific person close and in this case it’s you...” he smiled making you feel less uncomfortable. He wrapped his arm around you and you very slowly leaned in “now just relax” you nodded and took a deep breath before relaxing more into him. He started to press little kisses onto your forehead and you could feel your face heat up. He put his hand on your cheek and started to rub gently “it’s okay to feel like that...” he spoke “I used to have feelings for a girl I used to work with even though I was like 15 and she was in her 20s” he smiled and you smiled straight back before looking up into his eyes a weird feeling consuming you as you looked straight into his eyes. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he smiled a little bit. You leaned in before pausing and pulling away letting go of him “I’m sorry... um... I’ll... I should go” you stood up and tried to walk out but before you could go anywhere Tom pulled you back onto the sofa “you’ve come this far y/n/n...” your heart melted at the use of your nickname not realising that he knew it. You took a deep breath before nodding starting to lean in again. He placed his hands on your waist and you kissed him very gently. You pulled away and Tom smiled “that was great. You did very well. I think you’re almost ready to roll”
“Why do you even try with him? Erich blunt of all people!” Casey yelled getting in your face. You looked at her “he chose me” you said bluntly and she clenched her fists by her side “he’s just using you!” you said a few more lines very glad that the scene was going well. “What’s going on in here ladies?” we both turned around to look at Tom who had walked in “Oh Erich we were both sorting something out...” Casey said trying not to stutter. It was silent for a while as Tom looked back and forth at you then Casey “get out” Tom said his voice ice cold “but Erich...” Casey spoke taking a step forward “get out before I fire you!” Casey looked shocked but nodded and ran out of the room ignoring the angry look Tom gave her on her way out. You went to walk out but he stepped in front of you “not you” a smirk was etched onto his face and you began to take slow steps backwards as Tom copied your moves by walking forwards until you were backed into a corner. “I want you” he spoke the look in his eyes terrifying you “Erich... I-I’m not your toy” he stepped closer “yes. you. are” he gripped your jaw before pulling you in for a passionate kiss. You held onto him tightly and the director called cut and Tom pulled away “you did great” he smiled and you high fived him not knowing exactly how you felt.
“And cut!” the director called once again and you sighed. You had just filmed that scene for the tenth time but it was still good. You tried to do the other kiss scenes last week but you and Tom couldn’t stop mucking about or laughing so that ended up in both of you being put in your rooms for a week to learn your lessons “Everybody take five... well done” he said directing his words at you and Tom. You smiled but before you could walk away to talk to the director Tom grabbed your hand and began to pull you along very quickly. He pulled you into his dressing room before shutting the door “do that again” he said and you looked at him confused “do what again?” he took a step closer and you looked into his eyes noticing how they weren’t tom’s mad acting eyes they were just... his normal off screen happy eyes but something was in them that you couldn’t figure out “kiss me” he whispered and you looked at him shocked “what?” he took another dangerous step forward “kiss. me” you obliged putting your palms to his cheeks and kissing him passionately just like on set. You pulled away to catch your breath “Tom. I think I know how to kiss you now and I’m definitely not nervous anymore” you let out a little laugh and Tom smiled “this isn’t for scene...” he whispered “what do you mean?” he pulled you close to his chest “you drive me insane... I can’t stop thinking about you... I think I’m in love with you” you stared into his eyes noticing that he was telling the absolute truth “I love you Tom... I fell for you two years ago when we started filming this” he smiled and you smiled back “I wish I told you sooner” he said and you smiled “well we can experience everything that comes for us on this show together... we’re in this together” he kissed your cheek and smiled “I’ve fallen so bloody hard for you” he whispered and you smiled leaning against him “well that’ll make two of us” you kissed his cheek very glad you told him the truth...
Lizzy stood in silence beside Cedric, his arm wrapped around her shoulders. She stood in silence, cradling her arms as she looked around for Draco. She knew he was alive at least as she had seen him a moment before. She searched for him, now. She found him standing a little ways away, alone with a look of terror on his face. Her heart broke for him. She wanted to go to him, to cradle him against her chest and play with his hair while she sang softly to him.
“Lizbit?” Ced asked softly, drawing her attention away from the boy she loved more than anything. She turned to her brother, smiling softly. “You two will work it out,”
“I hope so Ced.” She whispers softly, her gaze flickering back to Draco. Before her brother could answer, Narcissa Malfoy stepped forward.
“Draco, come on Draco.” She whispered, eyeing her son. Without thinking of it, she moved forward.
“Draco?” She called out, holding a hand towards him. The boy turned to her, a sad look on his face.
“I can’t Lizzy, I have to protect you.”
“No. Draco, you swore you would come back to me. You promised.”
“I also promised to protect you, I have to.” He gave her one last sad look before moving to his parents, who smirked proudly at her.
“Stupid child, you were never more than a fling. You would never last.” Lucius snapped, smirking at her as Draco reached them. She waited, surely he would say something, defend her but he only allowed his mother to lead him away.
“If you do this Draco we are over. This is your last chance.” She cried after him, begging him to turn around. When he didn’t, she turned around and sank into Cedric’s opened arms, letting out a sob. He didn’t love her. He really didn’t love her.
