It was morning when the snow storm passed through Hidden Springs. Aila stayed up reading Tom’s file and eventually went to sleep. Charlie was walking through the ward hallways when she peep into the room window and seen Aila sleeping on the floor. She walked in giggling. “Aila?” She poke Aila on the head to wake her up. Aila slowly started to wake up. “Did you sleep in the hospital?”
Aila rub her eyes. “I might have..”
“Okay, but why sleep on the ground? You could’ve slept on the chair.”
“I..I don’t know.” Aila honestly don’t even remember falling asleep. Aila stood up with Tom’s file in her hand which caught Charlie’s attention. “I was looking over Tom’s file last night. There must be something I can do for Dorian. You know, he doesn’t even know if his dad loves him.”
“I don’t think you can find proof of love in a medical file, Aila. Some people, especially Tom, have had their heart locked far away and it takes quite some time to find it.“
Aila started to think to herself. “That’s it!” Aila said out loud. “Charlie, you’re amazing.”
Charlie smiled but yet she was confused. “I know, it comes naturally to me, but why, exactly?”
Aila laughed. “I’ll text it to you, right now I have to find Dorian.”
“He’s taking his break in the break room. He should be almost done.”
And with that Aila left Tom’s room and went to the break room.

After having a not so good couple of days off, Aila was excited to be back at the hospital. It was her last shift in the ward and she was actually sad that it was. Even though she wanted to start off in surgery, she was happy that she started off in the ward. She learned so many good things that she knew would help her in the long run.
Aila was in Tom’s room to see if his condition had improved. “WAAAKE UP!!!” Aila yelled. Dorian walked in to see if everything was okay. “Being my last day, it was worth a try.”
Dorian laughed. “You have to put your lungs behind it, otherwise it’s never going to work. WAAAAAAAKE UUUUPPP!!!” Aila and Dorian looked to see if Tom would wake up. “That’s my dad. Even sleeping he manages to do the exact opposite of what people want him to do.” Dorian and Aila started laughing. “Well we should get back to work. Make it fun since it’s your last day here in the ward.”

Aila had a super busy shift with checking Tom’s blood pressure and handling other patients. Aila was just about to go see another patient when she heard Tom’s IV machine beeping. “Oh no, this isn’t happening.” She ran to Tom’s room where she seen Tom with the IV tub in his hand.
“Well, at least you can make it over here quickly when my life’s in danger…”
Aila was furious. She was seeing red. “What?! Are you insane?! I thought you were dying, TOM! Ugh! Why?! I’ve been nothing but nice to you today an you’ve been spewing insult after insult. What did I ever do to you? Oh, so now you have nothing to say” Aila looked and seen Tom grabbing his heart with his eyes close. “I’m not falling for that again, Tom.” It was silence. “TOM? TOM?!” Aila rushed to him and did CPR until she could get a steady heart beat.”
About an hour later, Dorian and other doctors had put Tom in a induced coma. Aila couldn’t do anything accept feel like all of this was her fault.
