It seems like every student was hurt to some extent by the fire at the school. The prom queen had a leg fracture by debris falling on her leg. Another student was severely injured while trying to remove a few beams that fell on another student. Aila, Loren and Vivian were doing their best to make sure every student injury was taking care of. Aila, Loren and Vivian was waiting for some more students to come when Dorian ran to them in a panic. “What’s wrong?” Aila asked with concern in her voice. “It’s my brother, Roland. He was at the school when the fire begun. There’s a piece of metal lodge in his liver. I only trust you to perform this extraction Aila.” “But Tristan said we should only worry about injuries caused by debris.” Vivian said reminding Aila. “Loren? If more people come with injuries caused by debris you got my back until I finished this surgery?” Loren nodded. “Of course.” Aila smiled. “Thank you. Let’s go help your brother Dorian.”

Dorian went into his brother’s room to check and seen if his brother was okay. Once he walked into the room, he seen his brother Roland sitting on the hospital bed texting. “Hey, what’s going on?” Dorian asked. “Just texting my friends. It’s only a couple of us still at the hospital.” “Well the people who had serious injuries, like you, have to stay just to be sure everything is okay.” “Is dad coming here?” Dorian shook his head. “No, I told him that you’ll be home by tonight and to not to worry about you because I’m here.” Roland sighed. “I have to tell you something but promise me you won’t tell anyone.” Dorian nodded. “Okay. I promise.” “I....I started....the fire.” Dorian looked at him confused. “What are you talking about? The firefighters said that it was an accident fire. Bad electric wiring.” “Well...I...I pour my drink on the bad electric wiring.” “Why would you do this?” Roland sighed again. “I was upset that everyone was having a blast while my ex just dumped me right before prom.” “Somebody could have died Roland!” “I know, I didn’t think the fire was going to be that huge! I’m sorry. I know what I did was wrong.” “We have to tell the co-“ Roland cut him off. “You promise me that you wouldn’t tell anyone. If they didn’t have any proof that I did it, then why tell them?” Dorian shook his head in disbelief. “I have to go Ro.” “You’re going to-“ Dorian cut him off. “No I’m not.” Dorian slammed the door when he left the room. Roland could tell that his brother was furious at him.

When Aila walk into the break room super happy. Dorian was surprised to see her this early in the hospital. He knew she didn’t have to work in the next two days. She was wearing the same clothes from yesterday with a huge smile on her face. He thought she completely lost it. “What are you so happy about?”
“Sun Health Hospital!” Aila smiled.
Dorian shrugged. “It’s a nice hospital, but I don’t understand why that makes you so happy.”
“You dad lives in Lucky Palms, he practically has a hospital next to his house yet he travels an hour and a half each week to go to the hospital you work at. Your dad might not say a lot of positive things, but his actions speak way louder than words and I know this doesn’t get him out of his state, but this must at least prove he loves you a little.”
Dorian smiled. “I..I never thought about it like that. Thank you Aila.” He hugged her.
Aila sighed as the broke away from their hug. “I just hope that Tom will be back before I had to leave for another department.”
“I almost forgot. Your next shift her will be your last shift. here You’re next department will be pharmacy. I’ll really miss having you here.”
Aila smiled. “Well I should get going, since I’m not working Snowflake Day, I hope you have a great on.”
Dorian smiled back. “You too.”

Aila was in the hospital on a very snowy day. She remember when she watched the news before she went to work that a snow storm was coming in over night and when she looked out the window she could tell that it had already arrived. The snow wasn’t on her mind though. Tom was still heavy on her mind and it was nights that she couldn’t sleep because she thought that it was her fault that Tom was in coma. Even though Dorian’s dad was in a coma, he seemed so calm and still was working like nothing happen. Maybe he doesn’t know that she might had caused his heart attack.
Dorian was walking down the hallways of the ward looking at patients file. Aila knew she had to tell him what actually happened. “Dorian?”
Dorian looked up and seen that it was Aila that called his named. “Yes?”
“I...I.” Aila stuttered. “I can’t remember, do we bandage clockwise or counterclockwise?“
Dorian smiled. “Clockwise, and there’s no shame in asking.” Dorian was about to walk away when Aila stopped him.
“Dorian..I have to tell you something really bad. I..I think I might have caused your father’s heart attack. He was trying to get a rise out of me and I yelled at him, that was when he started shaking.”
Dorian started to laughed. “Yes, he does tend to annoy people. And by the way, you should always stand up to him, but Aila, unless you labeled medicine incorrectly you didn’t cause anything.” Aila had a sighed of relief at the comment. “Something tells me, you’re being pretty hard on yourself. I used to be the same way, but in the end it doesn’t help at all. Take my dad, he’s been hard on me ever since my adoption, even more so after my mom passed. I could cower, let that influence my self-worth, but that only hurts me more. No one is going to believe in you, unless you believe in yourself.” Dorian sighed. “Of course, that’s all theoretical. You know, I don’t even know if he loves me?” Aila tried to console him but he smiled at her. “Okay enough of this sentimental stuff. I’ll see you on your next shift.”
Aila watched Dorian walked away from her. She wished that it was a way that she could help Tom get out of his coma.

After having a not so good couple of days off, Aila was excited to be back at the hospital. It was her last shift in the ward and she was actually sad that it was. Even though she wanted to start off in surgery, she was happy that she started off in the ward. She learned so many good things that she knew would help her in the long run.
Aila was in Tom’s room to see if his condition had improved. “WAAAKE UP!!!” Aila yelled. Dorian walked in to see if everything was okay. “Being my last day, it was worth a try.”
Dorian laughed. “You have to put your lungs behind it, otherwise it’s never going to work. WAAAAAAAKE UUUUPPP!!!” Aila and Dorian looked to see if Tom would wake up. “That’s my dad. Even sleeping he manages to do the exact opposite of what people want him to do.” Dorian and Aila started laughing. “Well we should get back to work. Make it fun since it’s your last day here in the ward.”
