The Block Island Sound (2020)
The Block Island Sound (2020)
What’s killing all the fish and why are birds dropping dead from the sky? This movie offers up a multitude of candidates from chemtrails to secret government mind control and settles on none. Tigers to strong for GWS, and way to many in form stars. A well deserved win.
Tom Lynch is seen here standing next to ʼhisʼ P-38G-1 (42-12859) soon after it had been decorated with his latest victory decal, which denoted a ʼHampʼ kill scored on the afternoon of 8 May 1943. His reputation within the 39th FS was legendary, and he was even credited with shooting down a Japanese fighter over Lae whilst flying a Lightning with drop tanks that would not release (Rosemary Lynch via Norbert Krane)

Ranking American ace Capt Dick Bong (40 kills) is seen in conversation with fellow high-scorer Lt Col Tom Lynch (20 kills) at Cape Gloucester in early 1944. Between them they claimed four “Tonys” destroyed. Bong is sitting on his famous P-38J-15 Lightning 42-103993 Marge, in which he claimed his last “Tony” on February 15, 1944 for his 22nd kill. Lynch was shot down and killed by flak over Tadji on March 8, 1944, (via John Stanaway)
