DAY 295
Just got back from the History Theater, where we celebrated the life of playwright Tom Poole by doing a staged reading of some of his funniest Facebook statuses.
There was more to the celebration, of course. The night was filled with memories, personal stories & scenes from his greatest plays, which were not only incredibly funny, but smart beyond ANYTHING I could ever hope to write. And that's where today's regret starts.
Hearing his incredible words performed by A-list actors, I regret never being a part of it. I regret having to turn down a chance to work with him on an original play he was working on last year.
And I regret that, after hearing Tom Poole's greatest hits tonight, I'll never have a chance to be in something he's written now that he's gone.
