I’m talking real Tom Riddle—calculating, manipulative as hell, intimidating, but like…lowkey unraveling because Harry Potter waltzed in and flipped his world upside down. Tom’s over here meticulously orchestrating his dark plans, but Harry just exists, and suddenly all that control Tom’s so proud of? It’s falling apart! And not in a “Oh no, I’m in love” kind of way. More like, “This boy has wormed his way into my soul, and I’m mad about it because how dare he make me feel this powerless.”
And Harry...he knows. Oh, he knows. He’s not playing dumb, but he’s also not just handing Tom the upper hand. Harry’s walking this tightrope between calling Tom out on his BS and having learned over time exactly how to exploit every one of his vulnerabilities. And Tom’s not even mad about it. He’s infuriated, but also? Obsessed. Addicted. He hates how much he needs it.
Like, give me scheming Tom who’s trying so hard to hold onto his dominance, only for Harry to casually dismantle him with a single bolder attitude. Let’s throw in some real tension, not just surface-level power struggles, but deep, emotional clashes where Tom’s the one falling apart at the seams, and Harry’s there, steady and solid, like, “Yeah, I see you. Every part of you. And I’m not going anywhere.”
Moreover Harry — we know he also carries his cravings. Unspoken and quieter ones. A deep-seated longing and an unacknowledged desire to feel truly known and connected in a way that goes beyond the weight of any title. Someone who challenges and matches him at the same time.
And let’s be honest, this isn’t about softening Tom. It’s about stripping him bare. Making him real, raw, vulnerable in ways he despises but can’t escape. Harry Potter — he’s the catalyst, the one person who can see every crack in the mask and claim him—love him anyway.

Well, this ask is pretty relevant since I'm in the planning stages of writing an omegaverse fic! (not mpreg centric tho)
I'm going to have to go with yenay. I'd say the dirty talk aspect of "getting Harry pregnant" is tolerable for me, but honestly I hate the visual of Harry with a fat pregnant stomach. It may have something to do with the fact that most of the art I've seen makes it look like he's vored somebody??? Idk, I'm a bit put off by it visually.
I do like it for the angst potential when applied to Tomarry though. Harry running away from Tom, knowing that Tom would probably kill the child if he knew; or even a more mature scenario, where Tom would be slightly okay with sharing Harry with kids, yet the children are so unruly that they end up straining their relationship irreperably.
This is a bit off topic, but I have some thoughts on what their children would be like: twin girls. An ambitious, slytherin squib with red hair, tan skin, beauty marks and green eyes, and her sister; kind, gryffindor, and a physical copy of Tom, who also happens to be the strongest witch wizardkind has seen because she sapped the power out of her sister in the womb (she'll likely turn into an obscurial since her magic is so volatile). Lilith (the squib) would hate her sister. I think Tom would have an odd relationship with her, given the fact that while she's his sprog and their personalitys are eerily similar, she is weak. I could see her doing copious rituals/ heavy sparring with Harry to get strong, but she'd probably kill herself out of her greed for power. If not, they'd probably try to destroy the world or something, or one of them would die early of mismanagement. I think that Tom and Harry would need to be alone together for 100 years for Harry to even pitch the idea of having children, and in my mind it would never end well no matter how many years of prep they have. Or maybe I just like to see them suffer!
I think Tom/Voldemort(applying to either of them) deserve to have more fucked up humour in fics since it's basically canon.
Like let's be honest, both of them basically LIVE for weirding people out, you'd either be downright uncomfortable at best spending time with them or psychologically scarred/traumatized at worst. Young Tom was basically the most terrible kid in Wools orphanage with what he did to the rabbit and how he literally made two kids mute from some unnamed noodle incident. It's pretty clear even from the dialogue that he was practically on a powertrip, likely finding it humorous that the other children didn't have the power or magic to defend themselves.
Voldemort on the other hand, is more subtle with displays of psychological torment(when he isn't throwing around crucios) Eg. Calling Peter wormtail and taking numerous jabs at his cowardice and then joking about bellatrixes "highest pleasure" in that scene and then asking draco if he would babysit the cubs... lol
The only reason he doesn't come across like a guy who jokes around often is because most, if not all of his "jokes" are delivered very straightforwardly– and also most of his screentime is basically just torturing people, something he finds fun albeit it doesn't come across as jolly to the audience for obvious reasons
Like he's the type of guy to audibly snort at his own jokes, he probably used to write out edgy ass jokes along with anagrams of his name in that stupid diary of his— he probably thinks of himself as the pinnacle of hilarity along with being the greatest dark wizard who ever lived, hes like that boss who makes lots of cringe jokes and laughs afterwards then your forced to laugh aswell because you don't wanna get fired(do the DES actually find the jokes funny or is it just because it's Voldemort who's telling them? Guess we'll never know)
Also,

And the best thing??? He's completely socially aware of what constitutes as just "normal jokes" and "fucked up shit to say" when he isnt playing the subservient charmer act, he just doesn't CARE about appearing normal lmao
Sooo anyways Tomarry(mort if you want it) moment where they're maybe making out, and Tom pulls out just to monologue-
"Ah, I've never been so close to any soul but you and this special connection we share blooms further with every glance I devote to you, it shouldn't feel so significant yet it does undeniably so, our souls are connected just like how we are linked in blood, it is perhaps why we look so alike, we are releated after all—infact we share a common ancestor, we are practically family in roots. So tell me, Harry- how does it feel kissing your own flesh and blood?"
Tom laughs for a bit before leaning back in to kiss again and Harry is just gobsmacked in every single way like- 'Wtf??? I thought this was a makeout session and not a 23andme reveal??????'
Harry thought Tom was being serious for a minute and asking a question but Tom was genuinely fucking around In every way he just lowkey sucks In delivery LMDOEJSK
Also, Voldemort being dragged into a room of people(none of whom he likes) and the first thing he declares out loud is "Casting the impervious curse on everyone here would be deftly simple!" and everyone there just stops and stares at him like "????" And he laughs only to say something like "'Cease being so fretful, I am merely being humorous— unless..........."
Anyways, i could go on and on about scenarios like this LIKE let Tom/Vee be a little silly(murderously) He doesn't have to be serious/dark all the time!!!! Sometimes, he's just a jolly little fella who thinks he's the funniest person in the whole wide world(his murderous streak just adds to it, dont tell him the truth shhhh!)
Also, feel free to recommend fics here with a Voldemort/Tom like this because I would love to read them and im writing some of my own aswel!!l❤❤
Harry’s trauma response is all about trying to be a fair not-bad person, stuffing all his hatred and anger issues deep down (even though it eventually bursts out later). On the other hand, Tom’s trauma response is to hide his vulnerable side and reject his humanity, doing whatever it takes to avoid and overpower them. And even in this kind of stuff, they just complete each other. Tom pushes Harry to his breaking point, making him snap and show darker emotions he usually avoids, meanwhile Harry has this knack for bringing out Tom’s raw emotions at the most despairing moments.
I mean, Harry’s going for extreme actions, willing to go sacrificing his own life just to fuck Voldemort’s one, even resorting to violent methods when needed. Tom’s going for extreme reactions, like screaming in pure terror cause he desperately doesn’t want to lose his life (like when the diary was stabbed) or when he sent Narcissa to personally check if Harry was dead because he was afraid to get closer himself. And it’s like, deep down, Tom knows Harry is the one who can truly corner him. Of course the way they push each other could never not be unhealthy, but even in that mess they create this dynamic where they feel the intensity that they’d never experience in any other relationship.
Harry, who usually holds back, starts to explore what it means to truly take charge, to face someone like Tom and make him bend (not just through power) but by exposing his buried vulnerabilities. And Tom, despite his refusal to let anyone in, finds himself facing the one who won’t let him hide, who drags his emotions to the surface no matter how much he tries to fight it. It’s messy, it’s destructive, but it’s uniquely Tomarry.
