Amerie glanced down at Sean in the stroller who was busy looking around at the people passing by. Since he had reached a new milestone and was now sitting up more, he was curious about the things around him. The late afternoon sun cast warmth over the sidewalk as she spotted Tomas approaching from the other direction. She offered a smile, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “Hi, Tomas,” she greeted, her voice light with pleasant surprise. “Didn’t expect to see you out here! Sean and I like to take these walks when the weather’s nice—it helps both of us unwind a little.”
