IS IT TOO LATE TO SEND A SHIP? Laura/Lydia

Not too late so long as I remember what this is in reference to, and I do! I say that I ship it.  Laura is entirely constructed by fandom, and is generally really badass and outspoken.  I think she could be written into a character who is perfect for Lydia.  Not as simplistic as 'brawn and the brain' but I think they could even out each other's weaknesses.  I see Laura as being very smart (she figured out enough of what happened to her family to return to BH) but not genius levels of smart where she can read archaic Latin.  Lydia is tough, but she doesn't have overwhelming fighting skills (that we've seen yet).  So while they're not opposites, they do round each other out and they'd respect and appreciate those traits in each other.

Plus, they could have amazing adventures of the Alpha and the Banshee, kick ass, save lives, save the world in some kind of Buffy style, and then go get their nails done and shop for shoes.

And, because Sterek is my One True Pair and I want to see how they fit in this universe (as a side story entirely), Derek can sometimes be a sidekick Laura occasionally brings in for added muscle (or to distract people who don't find beautiful women distracting - one of the unfortunate things they might need a man for), and Stiles still has puppy love for Lydia, and maybe a bit for Laura, and pops up sometimes to be a little annoying, but Derek is far more annoyed than either Lydia or Laura (who are annoyed, a little flattered, a little amused, and mostly think he's foolish and harmless and beneath getting too worried about).

But Derek? Derek HATES it when Stiles accidentally gets in the way of the monster of the week, or when Laura says "since you're here you may as well put down a circle of mountain ash. the rest of us can't touch the stuff" and Stiles looks like Laura has given him the world. And Laura just shakes her head at how obvious her brother is as he follows Stiles through the process, scowling and giving into banter.  Maybe Lydia just kind of sighs and says "well they certainly deserve each other."

Was there any specific reason you took down the Sylveon fabric? It was so adorable, I was hoping to wrangle my girlfriend into making a dress for me out of it!

Yeah, actually! :c I found people selling the things they made from it after I had requested that people only use my designs for nonprofit personal projects. The main problem is that the percentage cut I get from spoonflower fabric purchases is pretty minimal (10%, which usually equals $1-$2) and when other people make things out of my designs and sell them, they're making a much bigger profit off of a pattern that I originally designed. I'm trying to expand on the amount of items that I offer personally with my designs, but naturally it takes time to find good companies that will print certain things, and lots of money up front to order things in bulk. I do know that I will never be able to offer EVERYTHING though, and while I CAN sew, I don't have the extra time to dedicate to sewing things myself and have to find outside manufacturing companies.So, naturally, I just wanted to offer people a way to be able to make the things they wanted themselves- dresses, skirts, wrapping paper, pillow cases, etc- and being able to customize them to their own needs. That's why I put everything up on spoonflower to begin with. People have made some really cool things with my designs and I get really excited to see them put to use! However, when they're used for profit I feel that the service is being taken advantage of. I was upset when I discovered it happening and disabled several of my patterns for a while.Since a lot of people have been asking about this, I eventually decided that I WILL be putting all the patterns back up, but please, PLEASE heed my warning that I'm trusting you guys to not misuse them again. (I have it in the spoonflower descriptions too this time, so you really can't miss it)if I see anyone selling anything else made from my designs, I will not hesitate to disable them FOR GOOD next time.

\o/ for Otakon!! Ah, I've heard of Katsucon, but I'd need someone to stay with, hmm... at least I could definitely pay for it I think. Otakon just happened to work out the first two years because I had a friend from south Florida that I traveled with, but yes... I think it's possible for me to travel to Baltimore on my own now too, so long as I have a definite place to stay.
