Drumroll please…

Here to make his Tumblr debut, here he is, my favourite OC, Carl Askew.

He’s a vampire who’s been around for maybe 300ish years, and he’s also one of the stars of a comic I’ve been working on with @beansprout-draws, Tombmates, which will at some point be available to read somehow, but currently that’s a work in progress.

I’m not going to do a lore dump right now but this man does have lore and I am totally willing to answer any questions…

probably the core of Albert's everything is how lonely he is :(. he's definitely built a shell of hostility around himself. cause people can't push him away if he does it first!!!! right!!!!!! he puts a LOT of his (dwindling) energy into keeping up this "too cool for you! bitter! angry!" persona.

beneath the insults that sounded cooler in his head, Albert's a goober who likes cheesy old comics and videogames and cargo shorts and his bike. when he first meets Jinny and Ophelia, he's just as prickly to them as he is to everyone else. but over time and many goofy shenanigans later, he learns that he doesn't have to deal with everything alone. maybe. :)

Samuel spends most of his time playing the keyboard in a small band that's yet to pick a genre. Whatever they do play, he make sure to sneak in chiptune somewhere. He's also terrified of horses, a fear that started ever since he fell off one as a child, and has only grown since learning they can (and do) eat meat.

Samuel is a zombie and a character in a story I may (or may not) write one day called Tombmates! He's friends with all the others in said universe, which is basically a Halloween themed city.
