It's definitely set in Canada. All of the bills the characters use are Canadian, and Cal talks about going to the States. There was a bit of a stir about how the show tries to ignore the Canadian aspects and be ambiguous, but there are definitely big hints they're in Canada.

It’s heavily implied (though not explicitly shown) that Dorian drugged him and they had sex.

Yeah, the drugs thing definitely crossed my mind too (considering they did keep showing the stuff on the spoon) but I wasn't completely sure because I think I've seen it before where people do that with sugar when drinking absinthe. But knowing Dorian, it's probably drugs.

and we know Cruce gave her that fae elixir and 'changed' her, also what happened with Christian (but I think the changing with him was faster because he was in faery)

Once again Karen playing with words

and Adam saw her as an Royalty Fae

and then the Unnseelie King said that the magic of the Seelie Queen was going to pass to Mac (exactly what happened with the concubine) (and only princess can take the magic),
