im running my mouth on my own blog instead of commenting on someone elses post but this is inspired by another post

i have no idea how to respond to ianthe and coronas relationship

i don;t have siblings or cousins, so trying to relate to twins is likely futile

however i dont know if i totally buy that ianthe is resentful of corona? like in a normal story she would be but this is locked tomb land and i subscribe to the idea she made corona what she is with flesh magic

even if she does resent corona, couldn't she just as easily take it all away, slowly if not all at once? could she not slowly erode coronas fat deposits? ruin her hair? simply put less effort into her double necromancer act? make it look like she's wasting away? coronas hands would be tied- what would she do, confess that they've been playing the empire for fools the whole time?

babs and corona did seem to be somewhat scared of her in gtn when babs caught corona duelling gideon, and ianthe was doing those experiments with stopping apples from rotting so maybe we are not giving her enough credit for her choices, maybe she is planning to take corona into eternity with her and despite the griping about no one noticing her hard work and talent, being able to observe from the sideline is sometimes more useful that being center of attention

but on the flipside, suffering in her sisters shadow alive might be better than suffering in the shadow of her grave as her house has already shown who they love more, so i wonder if what was a fun idea as children has soured into what ianthe views as servitude and she feels stuck with the decision.

anyways atn prediction is the tridentarii will destroy eachother

money is on ianthe trying to become double lyctor, but whether babs and corona are able to seize control in the end or the process fails remains to be seen

<3 <3 <3 your thoughts on faster than light travel in the locked tomb, but I think this question was actually answered in the beginning of Gt9; if we are assuming that the ninth house is on Pluto and the first house is on earth, then light takes 4.6 hours to travel between the two. Gid specifically says the trip takes “about an hour of rapid travel”. But maybe it’s possible that jod is the only one who can do FTL outside the river?

good research on finding the light transit time between pluto and earth! that definitely throws a wrench in things because plutos orbit is eliptical and thats how long it would take light to travel at their nearest approach.

i have no more ideas then. it seems unlikely tazmuir would have made an oversight about the travel time. i don't know what 'rapid travel' actually means. they definitely couldnt have gone throught the river. they did not use a stelle.

i dont want to say gideon doesn't know how long an hour is. but. i mean. the math aint mathing and we're running out of straws.
