Ok wait because rust is like tied (?) to their riot armor then what happens if an animal finds it can they become rust or does a host have to be human?
None of the tombsonas need to be human, and the riot armor doesn’t need to be riot armor! It’s just something that turns the host into a symbol of rebellion, at which point it is, by definition, Rust’s armor. Get what I’m saying? One host can put down the armor (or be killed) and be finished as Rust and the next host doesn’t need to pick up THAT armor, though in some stories they certainly could.
Due to Rust’s “human-like”, or if you’d prefer it “organic”, nature, they’re the only known Tombsona to be susceptible to human illness.
Zero_One tends to go into a protective state whenever Rust is sick. Although this usually isn’t a problem, an issue can arise if Rust were to become ill with something more hazardous. During these times, Rust is to be relocated into Doc’s quarters for observation and rest.
However, this is not so that Doc may treat the sick Tombsona; rather, it is because Doc is able to successfully separate Zero from Rust. Doc has attempted to explain how they do it many a times to me, but it is based solely on magical properties that are only loosely based in the realm of science--such things do not interest me.
There is a benefit to how Doc maintains his room as well. Doc's love for plant life has resulted in his room being covered and filled with various plants, many that have healing properties. Though it is only superstition, Doc fully believes that--even if Rust won't allow for medical treatment--Rust merely being within the room helps to heal them faster.
That has yet to be proven or disproven.

Congratulations on the new album, I personally love it, and "Orphans" is one of my favorite music videos, but I have a little doubt. Where is Geist? I personally love its design and would like to see more of it and its story, but I'm worried that it hasn't been relevant lately.

The storytelling answer is “we want to do more to establish Geist in the worldbuilding and continuity before it starts showing up,” and the practical answer is we did a lot of live action videos and we haven’t built a Geist costume yet lol

If im allowed more questions i was wondering if you guys intended for the tombsonas to be trans coded? Because these characters have really struck a cord with a lot of us trans fans

So, I would give a qualified yes to this. On a more meta storytelling level, they are absolutely and definitionally trans, in that they embody every gender identity possible across human expression, and they are conduits for stories around evolution of identity. On a more technical in-canon sense, gender as a concept is a human creation that, as extradimensional genderless entities, the tombsonas technically do not have outside of the human they’re bonded to, and ‘coded’ generally refers to a sharing of cultural traits, so I would say they’re more thematically trans characters (i.e. ‘a trans narrative’) rather than culturally trans characters (i.e. ‘trans coded’) if that makes sense.
I’ll take this opportunity to also say, now that I’m using this platform more, that trans issues are extremely important to Yoav and I - we both have trans family members, put a lot of money towards the fight for trans rights (as well as direct aid), and I’ve been a longtime ambassador for TLDEF in the USA (the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund). As I’ve said before, the fight to marginalize, destroy, and erase trans people is the tip of the spear of the global fascist movement, so to any of my followers with a couple bucks to spare, I cannot speak highly enough of supporting TLDEF. They’re also going to join with TCFE later this year into a new trans lobbying entity called A4TE who will be able to enact bigger change at the US federal level.
Who loses/changes hosts the most? My money’s on Rust, given its tendency for dangerous activities, as well as in bonding with people who tend to risk their lives for a greater purpose. Symbolically, it lines up with the idea of no revolution being any one person, but a group working as one (we are legion, another will always rise, etc).
But also, Rust this is why you’re often the baby of the group.
This is right on the money! Rust is a title that can be put on and taken off. Revolutions have people who become symbols but those people don’t usually live long. Rust has the most ephemeral bonds of the group. Rust is also the only one in-canon whose life is not artificially made longer, though we could argue they’re still more durable than the average person, bolstered by the power of collective belief. But zero_one rewrites host DNA into code, Tesla uses electric currents to keep its body alive, Armstrong pilots a corpse, and Doc may not have continuity of body, but by transferring its essence from person to person instead of re-bonding with new hosts, keeps a continuity of its host’s mind.
