Rosalie Lightening: A Graphic Memoir By Tom Hart I knew what I was getting into when @margaretkimball_ recommended Rosalie Lightening via @belletrist I was okay until the end. I fell apart. This is one of the most devastating books I've read. Tom Hart spilled his grief on the pages of Rosalie Lightening. He laid bare his broken heart. Wee Rosalie Lightening was his daughter who died before age 2 from SUDC. Pardon my ignorance, I had no idea that Sudden Unexplained Death of a Child is something that exists, though it shouldn't. How do you pick up the pieces from something of this magnitude? Tom and his wife Leela found a way of putting the pieces back together albeit painfully. And in creating this book and sharing their experience, I loathe to use the word " normalize",but this is a step in normalizing conversation about losing a child.
