Final Thoughts: “Who Is Josh’s Soup Fairy?”

I was so ready for this show to be back. And now that it’s been renewed for Season 3, I feel a lot easier about the Golden Globes tonight and this show’s future, knowing the network is going to keep it alive for at least another season. I am stoked.

As always, the musical numbers were solid, though I preferred “So Maternal” over “Duh”, the jokes were excellent, and there was a surprise or two. What really stood out to me in this episode was how many callbacks there were. From the keychain to “Heavy Boobs” to Spiders’ / Spider’s to being stuck in the bathroom while Josh has sex to the butter company in the tag. I probably even missed a few. And none of them felt forced. How impressive that a fairly-new show already has an arsenal of callbacks like this. And how lucky we are to get more of it.
