If you don't mind, I would absolutely love for you to explain to me how you made the gradients!
I absolutely don’t mind! I’ll put it under a read more though :d
Okay so I start with looking up the flags I want to make gradients of. I’ll show 2 in this example: the bi flag and the lesbian flag.
1. Bisexual flag
I took this image, saved it and opened it in photoshop. Then with the eyedropper tool, I select each color to see exactly which color I should use in my gradients. You should write it down somewhere so you can use those colors later. In this case, it’s #d70170, #734f95 and #0038a7.
Then I open a new file, 100x100, and open the gradient tool
Then, I double click the gradient layer and a window opens. There you click on the gradient colors themselves (I put a red border around what I mean below) and another window opens. If you’re going for a 3 color flag, choose one of the 3 color gradients already in your ps.
Then simply click on the arrows (so the blue, red and yellow ones) and take your color codes from before:
If you want, you can drag the arrows left or right to change where the colors will appear on the gradient. These are my settings for the bi flag. Click ‘ok’ and you’ll have this window:
I used these settings, but you can play with the angle and scale, it depends on what you like. Click ‘ok’ and you have your gradient! You can always go back to the windows above to change anything you like.
2. Lesbian flag
Okay so I’m showing a second one just because it has a lot more ‘arrows’ and I want to make sure it works for you. Again, I googled ‘lesbian flag’, saved it and then used the eyedropper tool to get the colors.
Doing what we did above, we get this window:
I chose the rainbow gradient that you have in your ps folder automatically. The rainbow gradient has 7 arrows, and I think the lesbian flag also has 7 colors (it’s possible I added an extra color, I don’t remember, but you can delete an arrow if necessary). So I do the same as I did with the bi flag and changed all the colors:
As you see on the left, I clicked on the ‘reverse’ button because the colors were upside down. Again, you should edit all of this as you like :d
For all the other pride flags, I did the same thing, always using the existing gradients as a base.
