“In the past my relationship with music has been unhealthy. For a long time my self-worth was too entangled with how I played and I carried around a lot of negativity. However, thinking about my little set of values before each time I play changed my mindset, leading to more positive experiences whilst performing. Of course, I still approach musical situations with a bad attitude sometimes, but to know that it is possible to change the way you view something has an effect on how you perceive other situations. I have limitations, but I can change, I can understand things better. Perhaps I can be a better person if I try!” Tom Rivière
