“Not just the voice,” Tom says, watching calloused fingers explore his arms, much skinnier than Shizuo's muscular arms. “Not only your voice, but your face, your personality, your– you,” he gestures to him, to all of him, “Shizuo. You. I fell in love with you.”

Imagine that Shizuo tries to quit smoking because Kasuka asked him to because he's concerned about his big brother's health. Which means he's on 100% edge now because nicotine withdrawal Shizuo is 90000× scary than regular Shizuo and he snaps at EVERYONE ! So to cope with this, Tom starts giving him lollipops to soothe him and it works. Like, even when he's not craving a cigarette, Tom still gives him a lollipop when he knows a job is gonna piss Shizuo off, because Shizuo having something sweet in his mouth calms him down.
