It might be eight years since Little Mix soared to superstardom after appearing on X Factor, but the four girl group has been inseparable since.
But this year sees Leigh-Anne Pinnock branching out on her own- not as a musician, but as a fashion icon, and the face and body of Umbro Sportswear, which is something she would have never considered at the start of her career, when she experienced unmentionable bullying and trolling.
Appearing in this summer’s SS19 issue of Rollacoaster magazine, she gives a candid interview on her experience of racism in today’s society. And how even though she was in the biggest girl group of the century, being black made her feel like the invisible one.
Thankfully, Pinnock has learned to love herself now, and declares “Being black is powerful, being black is beautiful and I’m ready to shout it to the world”. Go Leigh-Anne.
