Finally sharing my #tonirose4k DTIYS! 🎨🖍️
Loved drawing this cute girl with the giant crayon! So much fun!
Once again, I created a digital artwork, and this time, it’s my entry for a Draw-This-In-Your-Style challenge hosted by Toniroseillustrations.
For this piece, I illustrated a young, cheerful girl embracing an oversized purple colouring pencil, her small hands barely able to wrap around its surface. Her wide, sparkly eyes shine with excitement, reflecting her love for art. Her expression radiates joy, her rosy cheeks slightly flushed as if she’s just finished a fun drawing session.
Her long, wavy brown hair cascades past her shoulders, adorned with tiny white flowers. A bright red headband keeps her hair neatly in place, while a dangling star-shaped charm adds a playful touch, swaying gently as she moves. Her round purple glasses frame her large, expressive eyes, giving her an adorable, bookish look.
She is dressed in a striped long-sleeve shirt layered under a teal pinafore dress, evoking a cosy, childlike innocence. The dress has a small front pocket filled with colourful pencils and crayons, hinting at her creative nature. She wears white ankle socks with green trim, completing her charming and youthful outfit.
The giant purple colouring pencil she holds is decorated with white flower patterns, making it look both whimsical and fun. The tip of the pencil touches the ground, leaving behind a playful, wavy purple scribble, as though she’s in the middle of doodling something magical.
This artwork was a delightful experience, allowing me to capture the essence of childhood creativity and wonder. I focused on soft shading and bright pastel colours to keep the piece lighthearted and warm. Participating in this challenge was a wonderful way to experiment with a fun, playful concept while adding my own touch to the original design.
