Since being told that hunters were in the town, Remi felt less safe than she had before. When she first arrived, already she had been jumpy of every shadow and afraid of a potential target on her back. But now she truly had something to be worried about. Remi was not sure if the hunters knew that she had escaped the slaughter of her pack or not. What’s more, she didn’t know if they were able to track her across the ocean to a completely other country. Yet, it did not seem like a good omen to have hunters in town. If she had been staying inside a lot and having a low profile before, Remi really did now.
Still she needed food so she was forced to leave the inn with the sweet old lady at the front desk and make a trip to the store. When she exited the store she was disappointed to see that she had lost track of time and it was darker than she had expected. “Shit.” Remi shifted the bags and after scanning the sidewalk and parking lot, she quickly started back towards the inn.
