can you guys believe that Steve said "I knew guys with none of that worth ten of you" and "Earth just lost her best defender" in reference to the same person?
and Tony's assessment went from "Tony Stark not recommended" to him being the one that sacrificed himself for the world multiple times?
or that Tony was called selfish and self centered and was anything but??
I keep seeing moments in the MCU that are supposed to show that Tony grew into a hero, but...
the motivation he had to stop manufacturing weapons was the same motivation he carried when he snapped his fingers. He became paranoid and anxious over the possibility of not being able to protect the people he loved. He bent over backwards trying to fix his mistakes and make the world a better place to live in, and was met with nothing but skepticism at every turn. He didn't grow into a hero.
no. he always was one.
man, I'm really really glad he proved them all wrong
