So for not having seen anything this season other than a few clips here and there, I think I did pretty damn good. It's time to print out the ballot and predict winners. Of these,
I'm really excited for Once overall.
I'm saddened by the snubbing of Godspell. I think Hunter Parrish and Telly really probably deserved something. Their orchestrations were really freaking cool too and I'm sad they didn't at least get that.
I'm fairly, almost completely, positive Michael Cerveris has this in the bag.
I'd be happy with almost anyone from the feat. actress category, but I think I really am rooting for Jessie Meuller, you can check out a little of her performance here. Chills every time.
I have no qualms with best actor, despite wanting it for Raul something fierce. I don't think this is the one to win for though, considering his past performances. A teensy tiny part of me a little shocked they didn't nominated Ricky Martin. Perhaps they didn't want to be too obvious about their politics despite nominating Andrew Garfield for feat. actor in a play (he's wonderful, but if it goes to him instead of Christian Borle, I'll eat my foot. you don't want those picture on your tumblr).
Best Actress only hurt a little because BERNADETTE, but she is still getting a Tony. Also, this field is hella strong. I love Laura and I'm happy she got nom'd, but she won't get it. I think Kelli needs a Tony soon, but like in the case of Raul, I don't think this is the one to win for. It's a perfect role for her, but this isn't where she should win. Cristin! My heart is with you! but she won't wiiiin :( To me, it's a toss up between Jane and Audra. Audra should probs get it, but she also already has 4 (and would tie with Angela!) so politically, I think it'll go to Jane who also killed it in that role.
Revival. I'm still hurt for Godspell. I also just really don't like JCS as a show.
Musical: does it look like a I have qualms? I want it to go to Once, but I think it'll go to Nice Work. It's hella more marketable.
