I remember this REALLY good breyton fic that came out afterwards. where Peyton wasn’t there to help Brooke fight off Derek and he ah hurt Brooke really really really badly.

Interesting, I read one where Brooke never showed up, and Lucas did, but got knocked out and Peyton was messed up bad, and was just this shell, I don't think it was Breyton relationship, but Brooke ended up coming around...

that was my favorite too! the breyton friendship was solidified with the psycho!derek fight. you could tell they really loved each other

Yeah, It was especially great since I shipped them hardcore, the distance was killing me, and I think some great fics came out after the whole Psycho!Derek situation.
