The abuse and violence happening to Black trans women and Black femmes daily, is upsetting me and my homegirls. Literally. • So this week I’ve read posts by Black women who were silenced and gaslighted by white men in power and groups of white people at work/friendships. Some of the things happened very recently and some years ago that were triggered by fake allyship posts. I’ve seen the same white people and white trans people who have caused harm directly to multiple Black trans women/Black femmes talk about “standing with the Black community”, when just a few months ago we were having to deal with your shit. Please sit down and look within your circus because you all look like clowns rn. Non Black people you are not exempt from this either. • We STILL don’t have justice for #bellymujinga or #breonnataylor or #ninapop or #tonymcade or #monikadiamond and I can truly go on. Then seeing a video of Black cis men and women both beating up on a Black trans woman. I’m not shocked I’m disappointed in how pathetic you are. You cannot say Black Lives Matter and not stand for ALL BLACK LIVES. What’s not clicking! Third day of pride and this is what you are giving us? You couldn’t stop being transphobic in the middle of a pandemic?! In the middle of protesting?! • Let me remind you that it is Black womxn and Black LGBTQ+ that are always there riding for Black people and everyone else but who else but ourselves will ride for us, all we get is disrespected time and time again. Every year, every month, everyday je suis fatigué. • Give money to Black trans orgs in your city, to Black trans individuals and stand up for Black trans women who are alive and those we have lost. #iyannadior #tonymcade #ninapop #monikadiamond #blacktranslivesmatter #breonnataylor #bellymujinga #allblacklivesmatter #itoldyallniggas https://www.instagram.com/p/CA_YiYyg2rl/?igshid=etuokpm3kym2
