I believe that no one should have to work at a time like this. I believe that people in work should have the maximum possible protection, and the ability to freely opt out. I believe that the only work (as in work at a workplace) being done ought to be truly essential. I believe that consumer actions are not as effective as people like to promote, but are still better than nothing.

I believe that having a strong & consciously determined value system is the best way to check in with your values before taking actions which might be driven by impulse or emotion, say, like ordering shit I don't need because I'm bored, at the expense of every other human involved in the supply and delivery chain.

But oh! I am desperate for this new book on Victorian dressmaking, and a copy of A Field In England and other folk horror, a new small bookcase, some wool, some corset steels, jelly beans, a new mannequin closer to my size, wildflower seeds, an overpriced collectable doll, writeable DVDs with 4GB of space, a replacement laptop for my husband, more lush bath bombs, more planters, a conservatory, starch, collar studs, expensive cheese, proper hiking gear, and those are just the whims ive had this morning.
